"A full-fledged gang war is said to have erupted in the downtown district. Are you aware of this?"

Shao Zu, Lucas' supervisor, posed the inquiry, and Lucas' eyes opened.

He hadn't expected to be summoned to the office on such short notice, and honestly, he was surprised.

“Woah. What kind of gang war?" In answer, he questioned, and the annoyance on his boss's face told him he definitely shouldn't have asked that question.

Shao Zu sighed and squeezed his nasal bridge. "Don't be a moron and ask me stupid questions, Lucas. You're the boss around here for various reasons, one of which is knowing vital information."

"I'm sorry about that, sir."

"Sorry, Lucas, doesn’t cut it. You're meant to know everything firsthand, but the situation is reversed here. It would help if you fastened your seatbelt. This is not what you are paid to accomplish. You don’t want the top boss to hear about your incompetence.”
