“Please let's recast our votes.” Martin said after a long silence.

The vote casting process was completed in another five minutes. This time around, Martin didn't withhold the result.

“Well, a majority of us want to go with the staff request.” He muttered, connecting his iPad with the projector.

Approximately, eighty percent of the board of directors and shareholders equally wanted Alaric out of the position.

Exhaling in relief, Madam Aurelia pushed her hand into her hair. Liam had caught her doing this, thus increasing his curiosity.

Just when Martin was about going further with his words, Alaric rose, stamping his feet against the floor.

“This is partiality. The system was tweaked, that's why we have that result.” He yelled.
