Chapter 122

Nathan's POV

They didn't have to wait for long since the judge entered the room a few minutes later, and the trial began right away.

This was his first time being in a trial, but not Nathaniel Hayes first time, so he had to act like this was not new to him. He was slow to respond to commands, but got the hang of it at first round.

Nathan never thought they'd lose the trial, even when the opposing counsel got off to a great start. Stating how Hayes Holdings had breached the contract and had to pay the attached fine or reinstate Rivers Estates as the company to manage the project.

Once again, they were back to square one. Nathan thought.

"Your honor, my client never signed any legal agreement or contract promising the project to Rivers Estates." Nathan's lawyer, Jethro, interrupted Rivers Estates' counsel.
