Chapter 128

Nathan's POV

A memory flooded Nathan's consciousness, and he saw himself as Nathaniel Hayes, unwrapping a package. The paper fell off the parcel, revealing the identical painting he had been admiring a few minutes before.

He realized he was once again caught up in a memory of Nathaniel Hayes and a memory of the painting he had seen. If he was recalling Nathaniel's memories of the picture, it had to be significant and vital.

The memory slowly progressed to Nathan hanging the painting on the wall in the room that he recognized as Nathaniel’s room. It shocked him that the room was still the same.

Nathan reasoned that the little hole that was currently over his bed served this purpose. The painting had already been hung there before.

But that wasn't all; the scenario appeared to be fast-forwarding to a time when Nathaniel stormed into the room, yanked down the artwork in a hurry, and sat on his bed.
