Chapter 24

Scott’s POV

Scott watched as Nathan left the kitchen and out of the house. It sometimes felt surreal when he saw Nathaniel in flesh and blood, having almost given up hope that his brother would wake up from the coma.

Somehow, his brother had survived that and made a remarkable recovery. He sighed and shook his head, as he caught Bethany glancing at him.

“Strange, isn’t it?” he mumbled after a brief silence.

Bethany blinked and stepped over to take the seat opposite him. She placed both of her elbows on the table and placed her head on her interlocked fingers.

“I would say too strange. It’s as if he became a totally different person. His food choices have changed too, have you noticed?” she asked him.

He nodded. Scott had noticed the full and complete change but had not really had the opportunity to concentrate on it. Nathan had been in a coma for ten years, so it was inevitable that certain things would change. He just wasn’t expecting this much change.
