Chapter 38: Edward, this is the last time.

Emergency Department,

VIP Room 1604,

Upon receiving the news that Edward was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized, Harry felt as if his soul had been sucked out. Even though he was in class, he couldn’t concentrate on anything. He quickly excused himself from the lecturer and drove to the hospital.

Sitting in the car, waiting at red lights, and stuck in traffic, Harry felt restless, as if ants were crawling in a pan. He didn’t know how Edward was doing; his voice had sounded weak earlier.

Thinking about this, Harry couldn’t help but feel anxious. He rushed into Edward’s hospital room. He saw a motionless body on the bed wrapped in white bandages with machines making beeping sounds around it.

Witnessing that scene, Harry’s legs went weak, and he fought back tears, unable to contain his sorrow as he approached Edward.

“Are you... are you okay... oh no, I shouldn’t have asked. Oh, why did this happen? It’s all that scoundrel Jeff’s fault, isn’t it?”
