After dinner, Edward lay sprawled on his enormous bed. It had been a long day, and he was feeling tired. He had intended to get a good night’s sleep when suddenly his phone rang.

Who could call at this hour? Edward glanced at his phone screen, and it was an unfamiliar number. He looked at it with an icy indifference, suspecting it might be a telemarketer or a scam. He casually pressed the power button to silence the phone and pulled the eye mask over his eyes, ready to sleep.
