Chapter 49: God will never forgive your actions.

At around 8 o’clock in the evening, using the excuse of a busy class schedule, Edward bid farewell to his mother and quickly took a taxi back home. While in the taxi, he received a message from Mr. Beson containing McKay’s phone number.

“Mr. Beson, if you always keep your promises like this, that would be fantastic,” Edward said with a hint of sarcasm. He wanted to convey this message to Mr. Beson, but no matter, he would use actions to “help” him fulfill that promise.

Edward took out his phone from his coat pocket and dialed the numbers as provided in the message. After a few rings, he heard a voice on the other end.

“Excuse me, who is this?” It was McKay’s voice.

“It’s me, Edward. Do you remember me?” Edward replied.
