Leo reluctantly agreed to terminate their contract, his voice barely audible as he spoke the words. However, he was determined to fight for compensation for the sudden end of their partnership.

"I demand 50% of your investment as a penalty for termination," Leo asserted firmly, despite the uncertainty in his heart.

Mr. San Fuente's expression softened at Leo's request, a hint of sympathy flickering in his eyes.

"Very well," he conceded with resignation. "I agree to your terms."

Mr. San Fuente shrugged, his gaze fixed on the table between them. "It's just business,Mr. Carter. Do you understand?"

Leo felt anger surge within him, but he managed to maintain his composure.

"Certainly," he replied, his voice unwavering.

"However, I can't help but feel that there's more to this decision than just business."

Mr. San Fuente stood up, his expression unreadable.

"I apologize, Mr. Carter. I wish you the best in your future endeavors." With that, he turned and left the restaurant, leaving Leo deep
