CHAPTER 69

Andrea didn't go straight to the room. She hid in the corridor, that was used to go to the sitting room, or the guest room.

She tiptoed, and leaned against the wall, eavesdropping on their conversation.

She listened to every single thing they said.

Was she really at fault? Was Jayden not just understanding her?

It seemed like it was on her to settle their differences, as his father could not convince him at all.

She didn't want to stress the old man, so she deemed it fit to do it all by herself, or she might just ask for one last help—Alex.

She waited until Jayden left, and she was sure that he had gone, after hearing the door shut.

She crept out of her hideout, and towards her uncle.

He seemed lost in thought, so she gave him a light tap on the shoulder. It was her fault that he was that way. Had she known, she would have kicked against his offer to help out with her fight with Jayden.

"Oh! Andrea. I thought you were asleep, already," he said, a bit startled by her presen
