HILARIOUS CALL BEGOT A GRAND MOMENT!
That was hilarious!
Well, it was also an emergency.
After a few minutes, the emergency alarm began to ring so loudly that it awoke the whole campus.
They rushed inside and headed straight to the acclaimed room "050.”
When the security and professors saw them, they all rushed towards them.
“What's the problem?” asked one of the professors…
“We were called for an emergency in room "050." “ One of the men replied, still heading straight in there.
“I'm sorry, we have no emergency in there. I think there is a misunderstanding!” The men didn't listen to her; they continued rushing towards where room ‘050’ was.
From each tag at the door, they could easily decipher. Onlookers and other lecturers were surprised by what was happening; they never heard anyone ask for help or anything else that the fire was burning, but now the emergency was here.
How is it even possible that room 050 needs an emergency?" One of the students mused.
“Wait room ‘050’?” Olivia asked with raised brows, clearly taken aback that it was Robert's room number.
Owen looked at her, and they both smirked, knowing what must have happened.
“He should have called an ambulance, not an emergency. Such a daft boy!” Robert laughed, and Olivia joined him too. She had joined him in his hostel room despite it being against the school rules and regulations, but who would scold them?
It was Owen Wilson!
When the men got to the door, they pushed it open and rushed inside, flashing their LED lights all over the place since it was dark.
”stop!”
The first man commanded when he saw Robert's body.
He bent over with hunched shoulders and turned the body over to see the face.
Even if he didn't recognise the face, he quickly raised his hands and checked his pulse.
“He is alive. Send in an ambulance!" He instructed right away.
His face was adorned with a soft grin when he stood up. He had been expecting a fire outbreak of some sort, but still, Robert's situation was an emergency!
But just as he was about to stand up, an alarm in his side pocket rang.
“Beep Beep! BeepBeep! Beep Beep!” rang the deafening sound of the alarm.
The man in his early forties by the name of Willams froze in his movements.
His eyes slowly darted to those of his colleagues, and he gasped in shock.
“Did you hear that?”
They all nodded.
After the first ring, Willams bent over and flashed LED lights on Robert's face, but another session of the ring snapped him out of it.
This time, the invisible alarm Willams hid in his clothes rang even louder and was unstoppable.
His face curled into a wide grin as he burst out in excitement.
“Oh my god! Call Madam President! We have found her son!” He said he was jumping up and down, unable to contain his excitement.
He couldn't be happier than ever. It's been over a decade since they started looking for Robert.
He went over to where Robert was lying and carried him in his arms once he heard the whistle of his boss's entourage.
Meanwhile, the whole class was still standing, rooted to the same spot, refusing to leave until they heard the full tale.
“Do you think he is dead?” Olivia teased Owen playfully as she wrapped her hand over his waist.
“Nah,” he said. ”I didn't ask to get him killed; I told them to teach him a lesson; perhaps he would be crippled and stop coming to school.”
They both laughed at their petty takes on Robert's state of health.
There were whispers and murmurs, not just between students but also between professors who were curious to know what had happened in the room since they didn't allow anyone to go in with them.
But when a fleet of cars started to trip into the school compound, the whole crowd fell into a heavy silence, and there were collective gasps!
“Oh my god! Isn't that a fucking Bugatti?!” One of the students couldn't contain his surprise.
“F*CK! It's custom-made!” Said another in astonishment.
Owen's jaw dropped open when he saw the cars that were parked inside the school compound.
He couldn't help but wonder who they were looking for with such expensive cars.
“That's a Rolls-Royce phantom,” he gulped down, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down as he blinked rapidly.
He couldn't believe he was seeing his dream car drive inside the school.
“Who are these people?" Olivia was stunned by the glamorous sight in front of her. Her parents were rich, but not to the extent of a customized car!
He unexpectedly let out a gasp as she asked. ”Do you know who they are?”
She expected Owen to know them since his family was so rich, but surprisingly, he didn't!
“I don't,” he replied coldly, still staring at the sight in front of him.
The men who came out of the cars were all dressed in blue Louis Vuitton suits.
And from the look of their eyes, they were all security men, but quite an expensive one. Trust me, not your regular securities!
They all had black shades of sunglasses to match their attire, and their aura was nothing less than rugged, leaving everyone stunned again.
Two of the men quickly ventured towards where the students were, and one of them asked.
“Where's room 050?”
Instead of talking, the student pointed in the direction of where it was; she was too mesmerized to even speak!
The men quickly went on to Robert's room.
When they reached there, Willams quickly bowed his head.
“Where's his young master?” Asked one of the suited men, and Willams pointed to the bed where he had laid him.
One of them carried him in his arms like he was a baby, whereas he was a 25-year-old man!
They walked out, with Williams and his team closely following behind. As soon as the students caught sight of Robert in their arms, a heavy silence fell over the crowd, mixed with shock. The sight sent shockwaves through the onlookers.
Robert was placed inside the Rolls-Royce, and the two men swiftly closed the door. The engine roared to life, and the other cars followed suit.
Wait, did Robert just get into a Rolls-Royce before Owen?
Caught off guard by the unexpected turn of events, Owen stumbled backwards. He blinked rapidly, trying to make sense of what had just happened.
Did all those luxurious cars come here just to pick up Robert?
Who is he, anyway?
Owen shook his head in disbelief. "It must be one of his part-time bosses who wanted to help him," he muttered.
His mind raced as he tried to process this sudden twist of fate.
"How could that boy get into a Rolls-Royce before me?" he muttered coldly under his breath.
Meanwhile, Olivia rolled her eyes in frustration as she heard countless comments praising Robert for being placed inside a Rolls-Royce. She was tired of hearing it. The Robert she knew had been as poor as a church mouse, so how was this even possible?
"His bosses must have come to his rescue," she muttered, shaking her head slowly in disbelief.
RISE OF ROBERT EDWARD. When Robert opened his eyes, he couldn't understand what was happening. The hours have slipped by, and it wasn't just morning, but now evening. He had been unconscious for almost twenty-four hours. He was met with a well-furnished ward filled with medical equipment; it was the best one in the state. The whole place was lit up with LED lights, and he was lying on a bed shirtless. He glanced down at his body only to see different medical equipment plugged into it. Where am I? Shouldn't I have been dead by now in my dorm?” He had a puzzled expression as his mind raced, attempting to understand how he got into the hospital. His eyes wandered around as his thoughts raced. What could have happened? Did he die and be sent back to life? Or is it even a rebirth? His brows furrowed as he scratched his head, trying to make sense of the jumbled thoughts in his mind so he could crack the code of where he was. But the door suddenly creaked open, snapping him o
BILLIONAIRE LIFESTYLE. Robert sat in the corridor of the colossal building, marvelling at its opulent details. The tiles were so polished that he could see his reflection in them. He didn't need anyone to tell him that his mother was incredibly wealthy. However, a nagging question lingered in his mind—how long would her fortune last? The thought consumed him as he sat on the couch, deep in contemplation. Suddenly, a knock on the room's door disrupted his thoughts. Startled, he stood up to investigate. The door creaked open, revealing three individuals who entered the room. Robert couldn't tear his eyes away from them for a moment. Were they truly maids? Dressed in exquisite attire, the three of them proceeded to set his breakfast on the table before quietly departing. Robert approached the array of food, his curiosity piqued. With each plate he opened, he discovered an extravagant, five-star billionaire's meal. The sight caused him to blush as he pulled out a chair and took a s
Meanwhile, inside the cinema, Olivia and Owen were seated in the VIP section of chairs. The air was filled with festive chatter among the students, yet nobody dared to speak too loudly as Owen had requested silence. The scent of popcorn wafted through the room, intensifying the anticipation for the upcoming movie they were about to watch. "Honey, can we change the movie?" asked Olivia, wrinkling her face as she pleaded for everyone to support her choice. "Babe, it's the official selection today. It wouldn't be fair to change it, don't you think?" Owen tried to convince her with a smug smile, but she persisted. "I don't want it. I want 'Mea Culpa!'" she stated confidently. The sound of chatter and laughter filled the air, creating an excited buzz as everyone settled into their seats and ordered their popcorn, ensuring nothing would grab their attention once the movie officially began. After a few minutes of conversation with the cinema manager and leaving a generous tip, Owen retu
CHAPTER 8. UGLY?? There were onlookers, and students began pulling out their phones to capture the moment. However, in Campbell campus, there seemed to be a prevailing hypocrisy among them. They would eagerly record the most dramatic moments solely for the sake of gaining social media attention, even if it meant capturing someone's suffering or even their last breath. Amidst the commotion, Olivia couldn't help but giggle. She felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that Robert would be expelled from the cinema. Owen, on the other hand, stumbled back in shame. He didn't fully comprehend Robert's actions, but the forceful punch had left him disoriented. He blinked rapidly, trying to regain his focus. As Owen lifted his head, gasps reverberated through the crowd. Even Olivia, who was eagerly waiting for the manager to arrive, was taken aback by the collective surprise. It appeared that there was no manager coming to address the situation. Most students immediately aimed their cameras a
CHAPTER 9. PAY FOR COMMOTION CAUSED. Olivia couldn't help but smirk, a wide grin stretching across her lips, when she saw Robert go mute in response to Ivannah's words. Ivannah wasn't someone to mess with. Not only was she the owner of the school's cinemas, but she was also known for being ruthless and cold-hearted. She never backed down on her words. Seeing how sternly she looked at Robert, Olivia and Owen felt relieved. Finally, someone else was going to deal with him! They exchanged glances and both smiled wickedly. Suddenly, Robert burst into laughter. "Pay for everything?" he repeated incredulously. "That's impossible! Why should I pay for everything when I did nothing wrong? I was the one being bullied by this ugly duckling and his gold digger," he said, pointing his hands at both Olivia and Owen. "If you're struggling financially, you should politely ask for assistance!" He sneered as he spoke. Ivannah's eyes slightly widened at his words. Did he just suggest that she was
CHAPTER 10. FAKE MONEY! Surprise struck Robert like a lightning bolt. What had Ivannah just said? Fake? That couldn't be. He blinked rapidly, trying to focus on her. He had painstakingly changed the dollars into smaller denominations, as carrying a thousand dollars as a student seemed absurd. He had converted them into two hundred-dollar bills, and now he was being accused of using fake currency. Gasps rippled through the crowd as Ivannah's men approached to inspect the money. Each man who touched it turned back and threw Robert a menacing glare that said, "You try to deceive us, and you're dead meat!" It took Ivannah some time to verify that all the money was indeed counterfeit. She raised her eyebrows at Robert, glaring at him with anger. "You dare to deceive me?" she sneered, handing the stack of fake money back to her accountant. "I'm sorry, ma'am," the lady pleaded, but Ivannah wasn't listening. "Place the money on my desk and pack up your things. You're fired, sweetheart
CHAPTER 11. CARD OUT OF USE. Olivia burst into loud laughter. "You all must think that just because you scammed people with some nice-looking fake Louis Vuitton clothes, you believe he's a rich boy?" she mocked. "He's a poor church mouse who can't even afford a $45 meal. I was stunned when he agreed to pay," she added with a sneer. "He can't even afford two square meals, let alone three! Wait a second, did I just say three?" She scanned the crowd of students, who were all staring at her. "And you think he's capable of paying $14,000? Biggest joke of the century!" Owen chimed in. Upon hearing this, Ivannah didn't appear shocked. She had heard about Robert before, but the crying woman was truly taken aback. She had assumed Robert was rich, perhaps due to his more attractive appearance compared to the ugly Owen. No one could blame her for making such assumptions. Robert, angered by Olivia's remark, snapped back, "This has nothing to do with you! Stay the hell out of this!" Olivia's
CHAPTER 12 DUMBFOUNDED! Ivannah's gaze was fixed on Robert as the final lap of ring ended, but there was no response from him. Her eyes were filled with anger as she clenched her fists. "Hmmm, you must think this is a playground, Robert." Olivia couldn't help but smile, her chest swelling with pride as she watched Robert, stunned and speechless. "Hey, boy, pay up already! You must think we're all qualified for the VIP section," Owen chimed in mockingly. Robert stood there, unsure of what to do next, gritting his teeth. He vowed to take revenge on the person who had given him counterfeit currency. He would have to wait until he was out of this mess. That money could have solved everything if only he hadn't been deceived with fakes. Asking for another favor, like calling his number, would be too childish. The first favor had been a narrow escape. Ivannah's lips formed a wicked grin. "Look here, Rob," she said, walking closer to him. "How about you come, follow me home?" "Ding
The company, once vulnerable in the wake of Madam President’s death, was now regaining its footing under Robert’s guidance. But his journey had only just begun, and he knew that he needed to be vigilant, for there were still enemies lurking in the shadows. His mother’s funeral, though somber, had not only been a farewell but also a declaration to the world that Robert was no longer the boy who lived in his mother’s shadow. He was stepping into his role with a newfound sense of purpose, and he would not be undermined. In the weeks that followed, Robert spent long hours at the company’s headquarters, pouring over documents and familiarizing himself with every intricate detail of the empire his mother had built. His butler, an older gentleman named Alfred who had served the family for decades, became an indispensable ally. Alfred had known Robert since he was a child, and he had seen the boy transform into the man standing before him.One evening, Alfred found Robert still working in hi
Madam President, as she was fondly known to the world, was a woman of unparalleled influence and charisma. Her life was a tapestry of triumphs, woven from years of building her empire and leading her company with a firm but compassionate hand. She had overseen countless business successes and was a beloved public figure, admired for her resilience and business acumen. But even the strongest of leaders are not invincible. Behind closed doors, the indomitable Madam President had been battling a relentless illness. The diagnosis had come suddenly and without warning, sending shockwaves through the lives of everyone who knew her, especially her only son, Robert. Despite her physical decline, she never let her illness dim her spirit or her drive to oversee her company’s affairs. Robert often marveled at his mother’s sheer determination, even when she was confined to her bed, issuing orders and signing documents with the same unwavering authority. The family spared no expense in providin
The air in the room seemed to grow heavier as the final figure was announced. Lila’s heart pounded in her chest, her mind reeling at the sheer audacity of it all. How could this be happening? Robert was supposed to be the pauper here, the one barely scraping by, not the one making extravagant purchases without a second thought.Meanwhile, Anita’s smile grew even wider, a mix of disbelief and glee painted across her face. To her, it felt as though she had won the jackpot, her wildest dreams unfolding right before her eyes.Robert, however, merely smiled sheepishly, his calm demeanor unshaken by the staggering total. He turned to Anita and said, "I hope you’re satisfied with your picks. Let’s get these wrapped up."At the same time, When the assistant called out the total—$350,000—the shock on Lila and her companion’s faces was almost palpable. Lila’s eyes widened in disbelief, her carefully calculated confidence beginning to unravel as she processed the staggering figure. The man besi
Lila and her companion stood frozen, their eyes locked on Robert. The confidence with which he moved, the calm in his demeanor, and the absolute lack of fear in his voice were all completely at odds with the image of him they had clung to for so long. Every word he spoke, every action he took seemed to defy the expectations they had so carefully built around him.Lila's breath hitched as she watched Anita wheel the overflowing cart towards the register. Her gaze darted to the items, her mind racing as she tried to calculate the worth of everything piled inside. Her heart sank as the numbers began to add up—thousands upon thousands of dollars. The realization was like a punch to the gut. Could this really be happening? Could Robert, the man she had always considered beneath her, actually afford this? For years, Lila had carried a deep-seated belief that Robert was a nobody, someone to be mocked and dismissed. But that belief was now crumbling under the weight of what she was witnessin
Robert let out a calm smile, his eyes narrowing slightly as a cold expression settled on his face. "You're right, why won't I?" he responded, his tone icy and composed.Lila's scorn was unmistakable. She threw her head back and let out a sarcastic laugh, her eyes gleaming with mockery. "Really? Robert afford a bag this much?" she sneered, her gaze landing on the $89,000 price tag of the bag Anita had been eyeing earlier. "You? A pauper like you? Trying to level up so bad—it’s laughable!"She continued, "You’re in way over your head, Robert. You’re just digging your own grave, pretending to be something you're not. This is going to put you in serious trouble one day, mark my words."Her words dripped with disdain, but beneath her confident exterior, a seed of unease began to sprout. She couldn’t shake the memories of her past encounters with Robert. She recalled their run-in at the Luxor Hotel—how she had expected him to be exposed as a fraud or a thief, yet, to her bewilderment, he ha
The words hit Lila like a slap to the face. Her eyes widened in shock, then narrowed in fury, her face flushing with a mix of anger and embarrassment. For a moment, she was rendered speechless, her mouth opening and closing as she struggled to find a retort. But soon, the anger boiled over, and she exploded into a furious rant."You—how dare you!" she sputtered, her voice rising in pitch. "You think you can talk to me like that? Do you know who I am? I’ve got more class in my little finger than you’ll ever have! Those bags—those bags are worth more than anything you’ll ever touch! You’re nothing but a lowlife, a pathetic little con man who can’t afford even a scrap of what I have!"Lila’s face contorted with rage, her voice dripping with venom as she continued to rant, her words becoming more disjointed and desperate as she tried to regain some semblance of control over the situation. "You’re the joke here, Robert! A joke! And as for you," she spat, turning her glare towards Anita, "
The tension in the air was electric, thick and oppressive like a storm cloud ready to burst. The other guests, who had been observing the escalating situation with a mix of curiosity and skepticism, began to murmur amongst themselves, their voices tinged with both anticipation and judgment."Serves him right," one diner whispered, barely hiding a smirk. "He must be out of his mind to go up against someone like Mr. Smith.""Foolish, really," another chimed in, shaking their head. "He’s asking for it. The manager’s going to toss him out on his ear, just wait and see."The whispers grew louder, with some even casting pitying glances at Robert, while others openly mocked him. "He has no idea who he’s dealing with," one person commented with a sneer. "Smith’s a regular here, practically untouchable. That guy is done for."Anita, sitting beside Robert, could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She was visibly fidgeting, her fingers nervously tapping on the edge of the table. The thought o
Robert remained unnervingly calm as Mr. Smith's voice escalated, his threats echoing through the luxurious hall of the VIP section. His demeanor was as steady as a still lake before a storm, showing no hint of the tension burning beneath the surface. The more Mr. Smith ranted, the less Robert seemed to react, his composed expression only further fueling Mr. Smith’s fury.Mr. Smith sneered, his voice thick with venom. "You act like you’re above it all, like you own this place, you think everyone else is just as deceitful as you?"The other customers, were now turning their heads, their curiosity piqued by the growing commotion. Some whispered among themselves, while others watched intently, their food momentarily forgotten.Robert, sensing the perfect opportunity to twist the knife, leaned back in his chair, his expression calm. "Well, Smith," he said with a casual shrug, "if you must know, I own this place."Mr. Smith froze mid-rant, his eyes narrowing as he processed what Robert had
As Robert and Anita left the lively birthday party, the evening air was cool, and the city lights glittered around them. Anita’s stomach growled audibly, and she burst into laughter.“Okay, that’s embarrassing,” she said, rubbing her belly. “But seriously, I’m starving. We’ve been surviving on potato chips, cupcakes, and candy all night. I need some real food—something warm and hearty.”Robert chuckled, nodding in agreement. “I hear you. I can’t believe they called that a party spread. You know what? Let’s go somewhere special. I know a place.”Anita’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Special, huh? Fancy or casual?”“Oh, very fancy,” Robert said, a mischievous smile playing at his lips. “Trust me, you’ll love it.”Curiosity piqued, Anita grinned. “Alright, lead the way. Just don’t make me wait too long; I’m already dreaming about a perfect, gourmet meal.”They drove through the city, the anticipation growing as Robert pulled up to an elegant, upscale restaurant. The establishment exuded s
