Chapter 8: Dealing with the Devil

Jason paused and glanced up when he noticed that people were stepping away from him and Hudson.

He sat on the whimpering Hudson's chest, his bloodied fist about to demolish what was left of the dumb fucks face.

One look at the school director standing over them made him breathe, finally the haze cleared and he could hear his grandmother crying.

Hudson used the distraction and shoved Jason away from him and quickly standing and stumbling on his feet before going to where Mia was standing. She quickly flung herself into Hudson who wrapped his arm around her.

Jason's grandmother ran to Jason, hitting his upper left arm with her tiny purse. “I told you not to do it, I told you!”

Jason pushed himself up and stood before the director whose face was red with anger.

His bald head beamed in the harsh sunlight.

"What happened here?" He demanded, surveying both Hudson and Jason. He faced Hudson, giving Jason his back.

"Your pathetic, poverty stricken, scholarship student hit me!" Hudson's words came out muffled, as the pink hanky was back against his nose and mouth this time.

"I thought that this was already sorted out." The director said thinking of what happened earlier in the day.

Jason stood quietly watching Hudson and the man talk.

"It was. Until his grandmother came to plead with me to forgive the idiot." Hudson replied.

"I apologize for the disturbances that you have encountered today, sir…" the director began but was quickly cut off by Hudson.

"I don't give a fuck about your apology. What I want is for you to lock up the idiot." Hudson burst out, salive flying everywhere with a face filled with hatred and contempt, all directed at Jason.

"That is not what happened, sir." Jason's grandmother said to the director as she attempted to plead on Jason's behalf.

"I am sorry ma'am, but this is already out of my hands. If only your grandson had left after he was only suspended, I'm sure that this would not have happened." The director replied with a stiff smile.

Hudson crossed his arms, trying to look smug, but his battered and bruised face twitched in pain.

Jason spoke up."But I didn't do anything to him, Sir. I was only protecting my grandmother."

"I am sorry, but I can not lose my most important sponsor. You are hereby expelled, Jason. Your expulsion will not be lifted. If you are seen within the school premises you will be severely punished. " The director stated.

Jason could not hold back his outburst.

"You can't be serious!"

"I advise that you do not cause a scene here, Jason. Or I will be adding harassment and suing you to court." The director said, narrowing his eyes at Jason.

Hudson stood back watching it all unfold as if he were watching a play with a smug look on his face. “This is just the beginning. I'm going to get you thrown into a prison cell and you'll rot in there.”

Jason felt like bashing his face in when the smile turned to a smirk.

His friend, Raymond, put an arm on his shoulder and pulled him back to stop him from doing something stupid. He let out a deep breath to calm himself when he saw his grandmother near fainting.

"What are you waiting for? Call the cops on this pathetic fool." Hudson barked at the school director.

Jason's grandmother stepped forward but Jason pulled her back before she could go further. He held her to his side rubbing her arm, assuring her that he wouldn't flip out.

"Do you have any idea who my father is?" Hudson asked Jason, taking a step towards Jason.

"You don't, do you? Your pea sized brain can't even begin to comprehend?"

He continued when Jason completely ignored him.

"My father runs this town. Just one phone call, just one and your entire life will be over, so I suggest that you do what your grandmother did, get on your knees and beg."

Jason said nothing and it made Hudson insane.

"I said beg!" Hudson screamed.

"How much?" Jason asked the school director.

"How much what?" The director asked, a brow raised.

"How much did Hudson's daddy donate to the school?” He asked.

"I can't tell you that." The director replied.

"Tell me and I will give you ten times that." Jason said, stepping forward as Hudson burst out laughing, almost doubling over.

Soon enough he started hearing whispers all around him.

"This guy is really delusional." A voice said.

"He has not even paid his tuition fees." Another said.

"I'm pretty sure Jason has never seen a thousand dollars in his life and here he is chancing Hudson."

"Is he even in his right mind?"

"Oh my Goodness, Jason. You really should try stand up comedy,” Mia said, wiping her mouth. “maybe then you'll make something out of your life.”

"I'm not joking, tell me." Jason said, taking another step closer.

"Jason, do you need any psychological assistance?" The school director asked him.

"Just tell me the fucking amount." Jason growled out.

"And if I do what will you gain from it apart from the mockery of course?" The director asked him.

Jason huffed out a breath to keep his calm.

"I want Hudson expelled." Jason stated his condition.

"God, he really is mad."

"No wonder his grandmother is begging on his behalf. He is clearly not in his right mind."

Voices started overlapping each other as more murmurs began.

"This will end really badly for you, Jason. I can assure you that…" the director started saying but Hudson interrupted him.

"If you do not fulfill this pledge of yours what will I gain from it?" Hudson asked with a face filled with assurance.

"Whatever you want." Jason replied.

Hudson smirked before replying.

"I want you to read a letter of apology in front of the entire school and then you move away from this town. You will be expelled."

Gasps were let out, and the whispers grew louder.

"Deal?" Hudson asked

Jason took in a deep breath before he agreed.

" Deal."

"Jason, what are you doing?" His grandmother and friend, Raymond, asked him at the same time.

"Trust me." Jason replied.

"Tell him, director." Hudson said to the man.

They both shared a look filled with assurance that Jason will not be able to fulfill his end of the deal.

But Jason stood, unmoved by any of them. “I want Hudson expelled from this school, with no chances of him ever returning. Not now, and not ever.”
