Chapter 57
"You answer to me!" Carnelian said, her voice like steel. She raised her hand, and the chunk of earth that Wilbur was trapped in began to rise. He tried to struggle, but he was powerless to stop what was happening. Carnelian then used her powers to place the earth on top of the dragon, pinning it down.

"Your tricks won't work on us," Carnelian said. "And now, you're going to pay for what you've done."

As the dragon rose to its feet, Wilbur dangled from its back, bound and helpless. The dragon turned and started to walk away, its massive claws leaving deep imprints in the ground. Carnelian took one last look at the scene, then prepared to leave as well.

But then Travis spoke up, reminding Carnelian of the stormy horse, Tempest, who was still standing there, watching the scene with wide, intelligent eyes. Travis quickly went over to the horse and hopped on its back. Carnelian joined him, and they rode off towards town together.

Meanwhile, Travis and Carnelian made their way back to town,
