Philip scowled in annoyance.

"What do you mean I have to hold on a bit longer?" He asked with an incensed expression.

The woman he was speaking with went into an awkward silence. How was she going to explain this to Philip?

Philip had just called her to ask about the status of the case. He had asked her to make sure that Tommy was released from jail but she had failed to meet you with his expectations.

Philip roared out again after not getting a reply.

"Didn't you promise me that you'll settle everything easily?" Philip asked again as he gripped his phone till his knuckles turned white.

The judge sighed deeply. "I know I said that, it's just that something unexpected came up..." She tried to explain.

"The jury is making it difficult for me to dismiss the case." She said with an exasperated tone.

"Aren't you the judge?" Philip roared. "Dismiss the damn case and release that guy immediately!" He ordered.

"It's not as simple as that." The judge replied with a sharpness in her voice
