Rise of a Dungeon Lord

Boss Room (I)

Pushing open the door with a trace of anticipation, a bright light shone in his eyes.

Entering the gate, he seemed to be in another world.

A large gothic castle stood in the centre, a red moon giving the surrounding an eerie glow and a surrounding full of graves.

Just as he was about to take a step further a terrifying aura gushed out from the castle.

"Damn! judging from this aura and size of this boss room, the dungeon has most likely become an A-grade if not S-grade"

Not giving him time to gather his thoughts, the rest of his classmates passed through the gate

"Wow look at that castle!"

"So huge!"

"Haha I can't wait to face the boss"

"Yo skeleton man, get ready to taste my fireball!"

With waves of excitement going through the crowd, everyone was still pumped from the earlier awakening.

"Quiet! we don't know what could happen everyone keep your eyes peeled"

Hearing the shout from their group leader, everyone reluctantly buried the excitement in their hearts.

Unfortunately just a few minutes into the walk a classmate shouted once again ending the quiet atmosphere 

"Look what that is!"

At some point in time, an elegantly dressed vampire appeared above their head.

With silver hair and blood-red eyes, he had a charm that stood out of the ordinary. However, what stood out were the three rings on his right hand coupled with a matching 3 piece earring on his left ear.

[Zehaha welcome to milord's humble abode]

Taking a slight bow, he slowly licked his lips as he addressed the crowd.

[I must commend you for making it this far however if you want to meet milord you have to make it out of the forest of death alive]

After he finished speaking everyone turned to the group leader Elric waiting for his next move.

"Ahem, mister vampire?"

[You may call me Khaled]

looking at the vampire with many times his stats sweat began to trickle down his face.

"Khaled then, where is this forest of death, and how do we leave there"

After hearing Elric's question, a big smile appeared on his face

[Zehaha good question human]

[where you're standing is the forest of death and if you want to escape, all you have to do is reach that huge castle in front ]

Taking a pause, the smile on his face grew wider and wider till his jaw extended revealing a hideous set of teeth

[However! if you do want to reach the castle I advise you to start running now]

As he said this, he snapped his fingers and disappeared leaving a puff of black smoke.

"Wait! You never told us why we should be running!"

Unfortunately, there was no reply, just when they were about to continue their journey, a sudden change occurred 

*Boom!* *boom!* *boom*

All around the ground started shaking with different kinds of undead appearing from all directions. 

Zombies and skeletons from the ground, ghouls, and vampires from the sky it seemed they'd just transferred from one horde to another.

Suddenly awakening powers didn't seem so sweet again.

"Ghouls!, Vampires and more skeletons, damn! what kind of dungeon did we enter!?" 

"It's over, it's totally over"

Waves of panic began to spread, thankfully Arthur quickly calmed down the situation.

"Everyone should calm down, remember how we didn't give up when we faced the skeleton horde from before?"

"Now that we're close to completing this dungeon, how can we give up?"

"So who's with me? let's make it out of this dungeon alive!"

Looking at Arthur give his speech Elric had a look of jealousy on his face, unfortunately, none of his classmates seemed to notice 

"I'm with you!"

"I'm with you!"

"I'm with you!"

Soon the sound of chanting filled the crowd 

"Now don't just stand there run! remember what the vampire said, as long as we make it to the castle we can defeat the boss and make it out alive!"

Taking the lead he slashed a zombie in front.

Time passed and the class made their way closer and closer to the castle.

Sadly just as they thought they were going to make it alright a scream from behind shattered that possible 

"Help! I'm being dragged under!"

The sound of a classmate came from behind as they were being dragged underground by an unsuspecting zombie 

As they continued to run, the classmates continued to shout louder and louder each time.

"Don't turn back, run for the castle, as long as we beat the boss we'll we can get out of this darn place"

Seeing that the crowd was about to stop, Arthur  quickly dissuaded them.

"What the hell is going on? Why did the school choose such a dungeon?"

Such thoughts were going through Arthur 's head as he made his way out to the castle. Little did he know that the school he was thinking of, was facing problems of its own at this moment.

Dungeon entrance

At this time, a large number of reporters had arrived at the dungeon scene with Reyna and the other teachers trying to keep the scene calm.

"Miss Reyna, what do you have to say about the change in the dungeon?"

"Miss Reyna, is this a conspiracy by the monsters to weaken our younger generation?"

"Miss Reyna does this incident highlight your incompetence as a teacher?"

"Miss Reyna, how are you going to bear responsibility for all this?"

Looking at each reporter actually like a bunch of kids high on candy a vein couldn't help popping up on her forehead.

"Who the hell leaked the dungeon news, I'm sure it was one of these a-holes behind me"

Seeing the look on Miss Reyna's face both reporters and teachers alike could help but shiver a bit.

"Everyone calm down, reporters please I would like you to step back"

Taking a deep breath, she tried not to worsen the situation.

"But Miss Reyna-"

Unfortunately, not every reporter is willing to calm down

*Boom!*

"No buts! Now step back!"

Before the reporter could continue, she forcefully stepped on the ground causing a minor earthquake.

*Gulp*

It was at this moment they remembered who they were dealing with, Reyna C-level super strength awakener known for her hot temper and daughter of the infamous White Beard.

Without waiting for her to repeat herself they obediently stepped back.

"Ha-ha-however Miss Reyna, you do owe us an explanation as reporters to give to the people and families involved in this fiasco"

Although he said so, his confidence from before had visibly reduced.

"Do not worry, before entering the dungeon all students were properly trained and the dungeon was properly inspected"

"Although we are not sure what caused the abnormality we have full confidence in our students"

keeping a straight face she faced the reporters somewhat calmly now that they had put themselves in line

As time passed, more and more reporters showed up on the scene.

Just as the night fell and they had given all hope a sudden shout brought everyone's attention 

"Look, what is that?"

"What is what?"

"What is that!"

"That's i-i-its"

"It's the dungeon, the dungeon is opening!!"
