The King of bones (II)

"King of bones, I accept your challenge!"

*Thump*

A nervous heartbeat echoed through the room as Arthur tried to dispel his nervousness.

[kekeke human, I commend your bravery]

After saying that, the staff in hand turned into a giant sword.

[Let's start then!] 

Getting off his throne, a wave of pressure went through the crowd, even Anna on the side couldn't help trembling.

[As expected of Amnennar-sama just his presence brings me such pressure]

With a blush on her face, her tail spun around as she wriggled beside his throne.

Ignoring her, the two faced each other seemingly waiting for the other to create an opening.

*swift steps activate!*

whispering under his breath Arthur took the lead. Soon a multitude of phantoms were made as his speed started to create afterimages.

"Hey, bonehead get ready!"

After saying this, he ran around Amnennar, not giving him a chance to attack.

*system, if I keep this up would I not have to use the earlier plan?*

thinking of him not using the earlier plan a smile appeared on his face.

[host there's no way you can hold on, now if you want to survive follow my instruction and move forward in a straight dash after three seconds]

*why wouldn't I hold on, do I look like a two-minute man to you?*

hearing the answer from the system two veins appeared on his head however he still dashed after three seconds.

*system are you sure I'm going the right way? it looks like about to hit his throne*

[Yes host, now dodge left!]

immediately the system spoke, he rolled left missing the incoming attack from the king of bones

*Boom!*

With the landing of the strike, a large vibration filled the castle resulting in a large amount of dust rising from the ground.

"Gasp!"

"Oh my Buddha!"

"What was that!"

As the dust settled everyone's eyes couldn't help but pop out as an extremely exaggerated scene met their eyes.

Starting from the point of impact on the ground, the walls, and the way up the ceiling a crack that seemed to split the castle in two was formed.

Even Arthur, the one on the receiving end of the attack, was dumbfounded by the scene in front of him.

"Damn! Are you telling me I have to last ten minutes against that!?"

Just as the fight was about to go on, a black portal appeared in the sky dragging everyone's attention.

"look what is that!?"

with a shout from Davis, everyone turned to lookup upwards apart from Anna and Amnennar who seemed to know what was going on

Looking closer, a vague hand could be seen coming out of it.

after a few seconds of waiting two figures came out of the portal 

"Elric!!!"

seeing him coming out of the portal with Khaled uninjured a look of doubt appeared on everyone's face.

"don't worry everyone, your excellency Amnennar and I have reached an agreement"

with a slight smile on his face, Elric spoke ignoring his doubtful classmates.

"As long as I supply him a few upgrade crystals hell let us go"

hearing it upgrade crystals were involved,  Hsi classmates below exploded 

"What!"

"Upgrade crystal!?"

"Elric , are you insane!"

"Elric, if the federation finds out they'll never let us go!"

Upgrade crystal, a forbidden resource found when a high-level dungeon boss is defeated, can be used to forcibly raise the rank of lower dungeons, and used along with the blood of adventurers can cause dungeon creatures to evolve. 

According to Federal law, once a dungeon crystal is found it is to be destroyed on the spot. any act of hoarding or using it to make deals with dungeon creatures is labelled as a crime or treason against humanity.

Seeing the reaction from the crowd below, he knew he had to persuade them more.

*Cough cough*

"Listen to me first, just look around, almost half of us who entered are dead, do you think surviving this dungeon and being labelled a criminal is worse than drying here in  darkness?"

Immediately he said this, a look of hesitation appeared on everyone's face.

Seeing the hesitation, Elric decided to hit the iron while it's hot.

"And think about it, how would you know if we don't tell them after all I'm from the Magiea family how dare they investigate me!"

"I agree!"

"I agree!"

"I agree!"

Only after a few seconds, the whole class agreed with it, even Song Ye who was Arthur 's best friend and hated Elric didn't refute.

Hearing the Magiea family would be involved, the last trace of guilt left their minds as they were determined to leave this dungeon alive.

[Zehaha humans it seems you've come to an agreement]

looking at their eagerness to go home, Khaled waved his hands making most of them disappear at this moment.

Soon only five people remained.

with only Arthur, Elric, Amnennar, Anna, and Khaled remaining in the castle a weirdly tense atmosphere circulated. 

After a few minutes, a voice spoke breaking the silence

saying this, Amnennar threw a very small crystal-shaped heart to Elric .

"Thank you, milord!"

from the look of frenzy in his eyes, you could tell this crystal was definitely not something mortal.

"Zehaha I should be thanking you all you're the one who raised the ranks of this dungeon and all of us"

Slapping Elric on the back, Khaled's laugh resounded through the castle.

*Boom!*

*Milord? raise ranks? all of us?*

hearing the conversation between both of them, a bomb seemed to explode in Arthur 's mind.

From his slap at the dungeon entrance to his calm appearance even though the ranks of this dungeon were obviously wrong, at this moment all the pieces suddenly fit together.

Feelings of anger and shock flooded his heart as he thought of everyone who died on the way to make it here.

"Damnit! Elric, I'll kill you!"

*Boom!*

Unfortunately, before he could charge forward he was thrown onto the ground by Anna who at some point appeared in front of him.

[Silence human, do not make noise in the presence of Milord]

Watching his former thorn in the side being thrown about like a ragdoll, pride flooded Elric 's heart.

"Milord I would like to ask you to deal with him so he doesn't expose our plans"

unfortunately what he was met with was a feeling of boundless gravity pressing upon his shoulders

hearing this voice, Elric  turned his head only to meet two deep skeleton eyes looking at him

"ha-ha n-no m-milord how c-could I-I"

feeling the boundless pressure, his legs started to shake however, after looking at the crystal in his hand he steeled his nerves.

*just you wait, with the resources I'll gain after delivering this home you'll all knell to me one day*

although he thought so he didn't dare say it out loud.

"haha milord I'd better be going, and Arthur don't worry about Elsa, I'll take care of her for you"

saying this he disappeared like the rest of his classmates.

"....."

"Elric!!! you dare!!"

It was only after a few minutes that Arthur  realised what had just happened.

Unfortunately, no one was there to answer him.

Seeing everyone gone, a feeling of being alone flooded his heart.

[Zehaha human, it seems that your colleagues left you]

With his signature laugh, Khaled began to fly above him as he released a series of taunts.

Even Anna had a look of disdain as she smiled at his lonely figure.

[Human, for the sake of your plan, I shall end your life swiftly]

saying this, Amnennar lifted up his sword lazily ready to give the finishing strike.

*boom!*

raising his face with dull eyes, Arthur  looked at the oncoming strike

*it seems there's no turning back*

*sigh...system?*

For the first time, unlike the usual snappy tone, a bit of concern could be heard from the system's voice. Unfortunately, Arthur 's mind was not on the system right now. 

*System use it now"

repeating the same words with no emotion on his face, he watched the giant sword approaching slowly inch by inch.
