Miles had been lying when he claimed that he suspected Lincoln Park of cheating. This was truly a blatant lie, told to pull out the reaction and result he wanted. He had been baiting the champion this whole time with his words.

In truth, Miles knew fully well that Lincoln Park, indeed, didn’t cheat during the challenge, nor had he ever done something like this. Miles was also aware that despite the man’s arrogance, Lincoln was an upstanding challenger who deeply despised people using underhanded means during a task. This has been the exact reason that Miles had attacked him with such accusations in the first place. He was well aware that this young man hated cheating, and thus, he would immediately be susceptible to doing anything to prove that he wasn’t a cheater.
