Chapter 57: What to Do With Money

Dorothy rolled her shoulders slightly as she kept an impassive expression on her face. She was finally done with her job and could return home. There was no chance she would get to go on the field since they were probably finishing up now. It was frustrating, but there was nothing she could do about it. As she walked towards the exit, she noticed someone blocking the steps.

She narrowed her eyes as her guard stepped forward and said, "Move."

The man turned around, and she recognized him as someone who had been standing in line. That itself wouldn't have caught her interest if it weren't for the look in his eyes. He didn't look at her with awe or fear. Instead, he looked at her as if he were looking at her as if they were acquaintances. She didn't think anyone outside the seven families would look at her with such familiarity.

"Sorry," he said as he stepped aside.
