"I still don't see a problem," Ruth said once Caleb finished his explanation.

"What do you mean? The authorities will come after you the moment you cause trouble," he snapped, losing his fear in the heat of the moment.

"Do you really think we're that weak that we would lose to a bunch of humans?" Lisa asked.

Caleb didn't know about that. They were used to a world where humans were obviously weaker than them. Only the heroes were strong enough to face them, but that was back in their world. He wasn't sure if the same rules applied in this place. After all, they never had to deal with guns before. Would they really be fine if a fight broke out?
