Chapter 115
Juniper's anger started to subside, and she saw that beneath Dorian's unreadable expression was a desire to make things right. She also saw how much he wanted to look after her, and how much he cared for her. She knew she should be grateful for that.

"I'm sorry for overreacting," Juniper said, her voice softer now. "I know you didn't mean to hurt me, and I appreciate you trying to help."

As Dorian reached out to embrace Juniper, she flinched, and her arm shot up. Her fist made contact with Dorian's jaw, and he staggered backwards, holding his cheek. Juniper's eyes were wide, and she clapped a hand over her mouth, her cheeks flushing bright red. "Oh my gods, I'm so sorry!" she cried. "I thought you were trying to grab me, and I was trying to get away. I didn't mean to hit you!"

Dorian winced as he rubbed his cheek, but then he broke into a smile.

"Don't worry about it," Dorian said, his voice reassuring. "It was just a misunderstanding. No harm done." He reached out his hand, offering
