Chapter 66
With a deft swipe of his hoof, Victor knocked Elliott to the ground. The boy lay stunned, his sword just out of reach.

The boy's trembling hand clasped the hilt of his sword, his knuckles white with fear. A bead of sweat trickled down his brow as he watched the centaur gallop towards him, a cloud of dust billowing in his wake. He closed his eyes, bracing for the impact. But before he could feel the crushing blow of Victor's hoof, he felt himself rolling away. He opened his eyes, to see the crowd of centaurs laughing and pointing at him. He picked himself up and dusted himself off, his face burning with humiliation.

Elliott turned to flee, his heart pounding in his chest. But as he did, a strange sense of determination came over him. He turned on his heel and sprinted towards Victor, his sword raised.

Elliott's face exploded with pain as the centaur's fist connected with his cheekbone. He stumbled backward, the world spinning around him. His vision blurred as he tasted blood in his mou
