CH. 279: UNEXPECTED PROTECTION.

The female McArthur bodyguard shook her head. “We’ve been trained for situations like this. Don’t worry about us. We’ll be fine.” She then pulled William up from his seat. “Right now, your protection is our priority.” She turned William’s chair into its back before clicking on a switch that had been built into the chair this whole time.

William had no idea that there was a switch under this chair. He began wondering what it was for when the female McArthur bodyguard’s action gave him the answer. William was truly surprised when he saw that, following the activated switch, the chair suddenly turned flat before it then spread upward into a flat surface. From his view, he could see the color of the furniture changing, and it was into something metallic. In a few seconds, the apparently simple wooden share had taken on the form of an oval disk. William truly didn’t and what to make of this at all.
