Veronica’s legs wobbled in her high heels before they gave out and she fell to the ground. She barely reacted to the fall, though, as her focus was frozen in the scene unfolding on the large screen. There was no doubt at this point that the partnership between him and Veronica had come to an end. To be honest, there was barely a tangible partnership to begin with. The second that female McArthur bodyguard gave the order, William witnessed with wide eyes as twelve of his bodyguards seemed to blur from their position around him.
