Veronica’s legs wobbled in her high heels before they gave out and she fell to the ground. She barely reacted to the fall, though, as her focus was frozen in the scene unfolding on the large screen. Her ammunition factory had exploded. She was watching through the CCTV cameras placed throughout the entire factory. “Son of a whore! I’ll fucking kill you!” Woodruff roared as his heart brimmed with uncontrollable anger. He pointed a finger at William before dashing towards him with folded fists. There was no doubt at this point that the partnership between him and Veronica had come to an end. To be honest, there was barely a tangible partnership to begin with. Veronica had proposed this because he wanted to get to William and exploit his weakness through a present enemy of his. Meanwhile, Woodruff simply saw Veronica as a loaded machine he could just milk for as much money as possible. Unfortunately for both of them, it led them to this horrible situation. The second that female McArthur bodyguard gave the order, William witnessed with wide eyes as twelve of his bodyguards seemed to blur from their position around him. At first, he didn’t realize what had happened until he caught the afterimages. These twelve McArthur bodyguards had run towards the oncoming six creatures that were about to land on the upper floor of the management tower, where they all were.These twelve McArthur bodyguards, as if some tactical understanding had been established within a nanosecond, had split themselves into twos. They were so fast that they got to those six creatures before they could actually land on the building. The bodyguard jumped into the air and utilized their fearsome strength to push these six creatures back down. Veronica did not like the look of things. While she was currently using all the creatures she had bought with her, William still had a very few number of McArthur bodyguards protecting him. This is not what she wanted. She wanted her creatures to not only kill the McArthur bodyguards, but she especially wanted William dead. “I can’t let that bastard continue to live on.” Veronica was whispering with a very bitter expression as she struck the firm wall she was hiding behind with the side of her balled fist. “I’ve lost it all because of him. Immediately, all twelve McArthur bodyguards forgot the four creatures throwing stuff at them as they dashed towards the now wobbling management tower to save William and stop those two creatures. Sadly, it wasn’t that easy. The McArthur bodyguards had finally met something on their level.The four creatures were not about to let those bodyguards ruin their distraction tactic. Thus, they intercepted them by smashing into them from the sides. These creature utilized their overwhelming size and the fact that the McArthur bodyguards were now in a slight state of panic to effectively body slam them to the side. The twelve McArthur bodyguards had truly not seen them coming. All their focus has been turned to getting to those two creatures before they completely cause the management tower to collapse on itself. They were simply too focused on saving their young master, who they were sure was still inside the tower, that they didn’t see those other four creatures coming right behind them.
