CH. 284: CREATURES UNLEASHED.

Veronica’s legs wobbled in her high heels before they gave out and she fell to the ground. She barely reacted to the fall, though, as her focus was frozen in the scene unfolding on the large screen. Her ammunition factory had exploded. She was watching through the CCTV cameras placed throughout the entire factory. The locations kept changing after each place of the illegal chamber had been blown up.

Woodruff was visibly shaking and his eyes were red as he was watching the exquisitely constructed headquarters of his conglomerate go up in flames. Even though the other branches spread around the globe were relatively untouched, the headquarters held the ‘keys’ to all capable functioning of his conglomerate. Therefore, blowing up the headquarters was the most crippling move William had dealt him. To him, this felt much worse than blowing up his ancestral mansion. William was aware of this, and that’s why he targeted the Camillo conglomerate’s headquarters.
