His breath came in ragged gasps, the weight of exhaustion pulling at his limbs. But there was no time to rest. No time to hesitate. The true eclipse was rising before him, its shadow blocking out the very light of the world.

The creature the bringer of this nightmarish force towered over him, its contorted grin opening wider as the massive shadow that lay behind began to coalesce fully.
