Metropolis city, chinchin restaurant.

In a three-story building made of pure tinted glass which allows people from the inside to see those outsides, but it can't be said to be exactly for those outsides, as they can't see those insides.

Crimson in a black jacket, black jeans and black sneakers sat down close to the restaurant window.

"Sigh, when's grandma gonna be coming? Been waiting here for over 120 minutes" Crimson grumbled while looking around, the hotel was big but not filled with people as the only ones allowed into this section were those Scions, wealthy or influential people.

Crimson took his time to admire the surroundings, the garden view outside, which was filled with a romantic vibe, suddenly a ruckus attracted Crimson's attention, close to him a middle-aged man could be seen trying to claim a young lady of about 15 years old, listening to their words made Crimson feels amuse.

"I would rather go home than sit here, I want that side the boy is sitting in, I prefer the fresh view than here" With an aloof attitude she answers.

"Young miss, you know this is a VIP section and anyone staying here can be a hidden dragon, if we mistakenly provoke such a person your father might get angry with you." The man who seemed to be her Butler answered with sweat dripping down his face even though the place was cold.

The butler smiles bitterly, who doesn't know of young mistress Alicia?

Although she might not have one of the best talents in the Borden family, she's still the patriarch's favourite child and he made sure to spoil her so much.

Whatever she wishes for she always gets it.

Crimson's face slowly morphs into that of embarrassment and disgrace as he saw her, well to be truthful she was his fiancee and everything was going as planned until he wasn't able to awaken his ability, making her ask for the engagement to be broken, the Borden patriarch always dots on her so it's not new for him to accept her request, her reasons were "I won't want to marry a useless and trash of a society, I want a strong and influencer man as my husband and you don't fit any of the categories".

At first, Crimson was upset and mad with her after all who would love to be called 'useless'? But after calming down and thinking of it, he was able to admit that he would have followed the same footsteps if he were in her shoes, but still, it hurts to be called 'useless'.

"Hey, Crimson!, I heard your parents and family have cut off all ties with you, only your grandma still wants you, is it true?'' a girlish voice snapped him out of his thought.

{Not again}

Crimson thought as he lifted his head and looked at her, indeed, his family cut off ties with him but no one except his father knew it was just a ploy and the truth is he was sent to his grandma to train and leave a normal life of a mortal cause he might not be able to step into the part of cultivation.

His mother didn't even come out to plead for his behaviour despite being her favourite child back then, none of the elders even defended him, and his best friend didn't even pick up his call when he phoned to tell him about the information and that wasn't all, the Borden family unexpectedly call his father to call off the engagement.

This was the first time he ever saw the human dark side, abandoning him when he was down and bootlicking him when he was in power, it was depressing and amusing at the same time.

Just as he was about to reply to her, he subconsciously took hold of the sight of a woman in her prime walking over to his table, she looked to be in her 40s, and her expression had no unique properties as she looked like your everyday neighbourhood elder who always sits outside in the morning on her rocking chair while knitting some dresses.

The middle-aged woman wore a plain green t-shirt which looked faded, with old-looking jeans and rubber boots, she looked just like any normal second-class citizen looks like.

Almost everyone subconsciously glanced at her with a bizarre look, this section allows only the wealthy and top rank people, so it was weird seeing a poor middle-aged woman coming to the section.

Crimson felt delighted seeing her, {She looks the same just like in the past, it's like she doesn't age I wonder what level she is.} he thought with happiness.

while disregarding Alicia who was expecting his answer.

"Boy you look grown up now" Granny walked over with a sunny smile she said while caressing Crimson's hair.

Crimson didn't mind as he also grinned and said "Granny it's been 8 years since I last saw you, you never even visited and you didn't come for me and Gustave's birthday" a spoilt brat crimson said while pouting.

"Pack up and let's go to your new home," Granny said while looking around sight Crimson's luggage, seeing how his grandma behaved Crimson rolled his eyes and said, "Granny you forgot about spatial rings?" He said while waving his fingers which wore a plain-looking ring.

"Aah how could I forget of such a thing, I've been so used to my mortal life that I even forget of such a new invention, back then it was only those with space abilities that were able to use such things but now everyone can... Sigh the world is altering, I just hope it's for the good" Granny mumbled while looking blankly at the ceiling.

Just then...

"Look!!!"

A female attendant in the hotel shrieked and with a trembling finger pointed outside, The whole people all looked towards the path she pointed, and a portal could be seen unfolding in the sky.

Some dark essence flares from the portal making everything around 3 meters close to it to be covered in some dark purple energy.

Krrrrrrr!!!

Suddenly a bird shot out of the portal, its deep red eyes were like the eyes of a hunter poking at its prey, and his 5 meters long body and 3.5 wingspans made some humans who had never trained or seen beasts tremble in fear.

The bird screeched in excitement as they shot down at a speed matching that of a sports car, its target was a young girl of about 10 years old who seemed to have gotten lost after the portal opened.

It didn't take him much time to reach her, just when his claws were about to pluck her, a water barrier suddenly appeared and surrounded the girl making the bird who was about to grab her slam right onto it, while it was still dazed, a water wipe from nowhere with a whooshing sound hit it right on its head thoroughly destroying it, making the brain and blood to spill out.

"It's just one pony beast and y'all behave like a sissy?" Granny shot all of them a look of disgust, just when she was about to say more sounds of roar were suddenly heard.

Looking up, everyone dashed out in horror, cause an enormous number of beasts were coming out of the portal, some flew while others were carried and on some of the beasts, sat some species which looked like humans except for their unicorn horns.

"S..s.sh.. shuras!!!" This time Crimson and everyone truly felt fear and knew they were in a big crisis if they didn't fight with their lives on the line
