"Splash." A bottle of iced water sprinkled all over Andrew's body and a cold shiver went down his spine.
His glance shoved up towards his boss who had given him an impromptu call into the office, as confusion flooded his facial expression.
"You fool. What gave you the guts to steal a petty fund of 1000 dollars from this company." His stare was glazed with so much hate and fury.
"Steal?
"I have never stolen anything from anyone in this company," Andrew replied with a puzzled look on his face.
"Such a fool. Are you thinking that I am going to fall for that?" Mr. Mark growled.
"You were the one that was scheduled to clean the company this money and it was exactly here that I had left it so who else could have taken it away from here?" He fired at him.
"I didn't take any money, sir. I can swear on my life."
"Then who would have taken it? Everyone knows that you, a poor wretched bitch in dying , need to survive...
You need the money more than anyone else in this company.
But to think that you are going to stoop so low to steal from the company. How pathetic." He responded with a frown hanging on his face.
"I swear with my life Mr. Mark, I didn't steal it." His eyes crawled with so much innocence and pleas but that only hardened the heart of the manager.
"Why don't you just tell the truth, fool? Why are you such a hardened criminal?" He thundered angrily at him
"Sir. I did." He was about to say something but his manager yelled at him.
"That would be enough already, fool. Now, I am giving you just forty-eight hours to refund that money or you are not going to live to tell the story.
I will sue you for theft but right now, gather all the trash that passes as property for you and get off from my company right away." He yelled angrily at him.
"And don't make me repeat those words." He sneered.
The words stormed into his hearings and he shivered. Even with his job, it was already difficult for him to survive.. losing this job.
"Please, sir... I didn't steal from the company. I can never..." He tried to explain but he would not be given even a single breathing space.
"Are you still standing there... Do you want me to call the security on you?" He fired at him but it didn't seem like Andrew was ready to pull away from the point that he was standing.
Getting his phone from his pocket, he placed a call to the security officers to thrash him away from the hall.
Soon, a cracking sound came from the door and three security agents stormed towards him.
"Take this thrash out of my company." He half yelled with a squeezed face.
While he continued to plead, the force of the three men came over to him, pulling him up from the floor and taking him out.
Meanwhile, the workers outside continued to stare at him with so much scorn and hatred, yelling out his name at multiple intervals
His heart was heavy as random thoughts ran through his mind. The thoughts of survival and. The most important thing to him is the thoughts of his beloved wife Lena.
She has been the most supportive person that had stood by him when and cherished him so much.
The images of her flickered in his eye. It was their wedding anniversary today and the thought that he would not be able to get her a gift broke him even more.
He was supposed to be paid that morning and get her the gift that she had always craved for only to be framed for something that he knew absolutely nothing about.
The previous year, she had not taken it seriously but he could read the disappointment in her eyes.
"What do I do now!" He thought in his head while he continued to roam in the city was like a man who had been stripped of his life.
His heartbeat raced faster but somewhere at the end of the city, he found something really strange.
It was a sign, stalking in the road.
"Workers needed urgently." It read.
His eyes brightened with so much excitement as he skimmed through the venue of the place, his heart racing fast.
Getting a glimpse of it, he raced to the hotel as soon as he could, thinking that some other people might get the job before he did.
A lot of activities were already going on in the place as his eyes paired all around.
"Where do I go now?" He thought again.
"Hey stinker, are you here for the job as an attendant?" A voice came from within as he turned around slowly towards the voice.
A nod came afterwards. It turned out that the company was in dying need of workers and he had to start work right away.
He was given an apron and a tray was shoved into his hands. A tray of glass cups and an expensive wine. Something that he was sure was worth over a hundred thousand dollars.
His hands shivered as he had never held anything that expensive all his life and his boss could already see it in his gesture.
"It's such a pity that we have to employ you already but if you dare to break anything, you are going to pay." His superior shot a deadly glare at him.
"At least this is the last set that I am going to be attending today." He thought about his head but did not dare to voice it out.
"Okie sir." He replied.
Andrew's hands were balanced on the tray making sure that it was balanced in his hands as much as possible so that it was not going to slip out from his hands.
His head streamed through the room number and he finally found the one that he was looking for.
A slight tap he laid on the door as he walked into after a confirmation and he placed the wine on the table without even looking at the person in the room.
"Here is your order." He noted once again.
"Hey Clarke, you should give the attendant some tips and I am sure that he would be running to get us more condoms. I'm not tired of your dick already." A despairing cry came from the lady on the bed.
Random thoughts rose into his head as the voice that he just heard sounded way too familiar.
He could already feel his heart racing fast.
"Lena?" He thought but he found it difficult to believe it.
"How can you even think that the wife that loved you so much when others despise you like some piece of garbage would be cheating on you?" His subconsciousness flowed through.
"No. It can't be. I am just thinking about things because of what happened."
But even with the thoughts. He was still way too afraid to turn around towards the bed I saw who it was.
"Glad you want more." More voices came into his head again but this time, it was a little more masculine.
"Hey, stinker. Take this money and get us more condoms." He finally turned around towards the man on the bed.
His eyes grew wide open with so much shock. His heart was racing fast, staring at her.
"Lena?" His eyes brightened with so much shock.
There was as though his last ray of hope was shattered right before him as he continued to stare at her, trying to figure out things in his head."Lena?" He thought in his head. His head spun around only to notice that the man that was standing at the edge of the bed was the town's rising billionaire, Mr. ClarkeHe gritted his teeth with so much anger. Meanwhile, Lena was shocked staring right into the eyes of her husband, her face flooded with so much embarrassment."What are you doing here?" She finally braised up.He could not allow her husband to watch her disorganized even for a single bit. Not when he was a worthless fool."I just asked you a simple question, what are you doing here?" They came out from her like stabs without even a single trace of emotion on her face."What am I doing here? Is that an apology or what? Is this the office that you are working at? And to even think that you had to do it on our wedding anniversary? Have you no shame?" Multiple came out from him as
"Young master." Three strange men advanced slowly towards him with a slight bow while he continued to stare with the expression on his face flooded with so much confusion.Rain dripped down slowly from the sky wetting his skin. They all wore dark classic suits coupled with their dark shades and they didn't even seem to be worried about the rain patting their skin even though they seemed to be heavily rich.Confusion coated his mind, thinking that he might have heard wrong because there was no way that could be possible."Young master?" He repeated moving backwards a little bit because he sensed that they were going to hurt him."Yes, young master." The firmly built but older man came from behind walking closer towards him."We have been searching for you for quite a while now." He noted.Adrenaline flooded into his bloodstream, waiting for a fight or flight mode action while he continued to watch every single move of their gazes."Searching for me? What are you talking about?" His fac
A smile hovered on the face of his father for a while but he didn't seem to be ready to give out any information."How rich are you, father.""From your guess, how rich do you think I am?" replied."Don't worry, you are going to find out about that soon enough. I don't want to chunk you with a lot of information now. I think that it would be better if you learn about them as time progresses." He added."And I also want to introduce you to a lot of people tomorrow back at home but then, you will have to have your meal first. In the meantime, I will have to attend to some pressing issues." He noted.Andrew nodded his head. A roof over his head was enough for him already.A few guards ushered him to the dining room and he laid the most pleasant meal that he had ever had in a long time.He went down on the food like a hungry lion and after that, he was taken to his room where he had a nice bath.He could feel the breath of fresh air steaming into his body. Finally, he got into his room an
"Oh now. You want me to say that again, don't you? You can't afford it so you should stay out of the way." He noted with a thick frown.""Get away from here or.""Or you are going to do what? Both of us already know the reason that you are here. To beg of course so why don't you just go along and start doing what you can here to do already?" He noted with a thick frown hovering in his face."Or am I wrong? You can steal here rather?"Andrew was about to say something when he heard a voice from behind making him turn around to see what was happening there."What's going on here?" The masculine voice came from behind as the gradual steps moved closer towards them. From the shirt that the man was putting on, he could tell that he was a sales attendant in the mall.Immediately his eyes caught up with Henry, his face brightened into a smile almost immediately pushing Andrew out of the way and making his way towards Henry."I knew that I was going to be the one to sell this dress and get th
With sudden haste, the sales attendant packed the suit into the packing box and the manager snapped it away from him. His feet made a half run out of the mall as his eyes scanned outside hoping that he was still around somewhere as his heart raced even faster. But no matter how hard he searched, he definitely could see him. "What the hell of trouble haha I got myself into now?" He yelled out in despair. Just then, the sales attendant stormed towards him and immediately he laid his eyes on him, his anger seemed to be flamed up even more at the thoughts of the initial cause of all his troubles in the first place. His teeth grated with so much anger and he felt lol giving him a hard kick on his stomach. "If you want anything good for you now. Don't make a single sound." The manager prayed silently in his heart but it seemed as though today was a bad day altogether for him. "Sir... But what is going on... because." The manager would not even allow him to complete his statement. "D
"For this that you have done, I am going to make sure that you pay for it. You are going to come back to me crawling on your knees for sure.""Let's see who is going to come crawling first..." Andrew graveled back.Seeing that none of them wanted to pull down their guard even for a Moment and end the unhealthy feud between them, Lena took a bold step, holding Clarke's hands firmly."Let's get going, let Least you know there is something that you have that he can never get and that is me." She whispered loud enough for him to hear.Andrew clutched his hands with anger but it did not seem as though Lena was done with him yet as she brought out a card from her purse and shoved it on his face.Even without looking at it, Andrew could tell that it was an invitation card."You are very much invited." She threw the card to the floor as they walked away from the place briskly.A thought flashed through Andrew's hard and a dark smile hovered on his face. "Let's see how this marriage of yours
Andrew raised his head slightly after he beheld the profile before him. Right before him was a moment he could determine the fate of those that had indeed dealt with him. “Sir! Would you like to have anything since today is your first?” She asked him. He glanced at her. “No! You don't need to bother yourself. You can take your leave now,” he said to her. “Okay!” She left his presence immediately. Andrew removed Clarke's profile. He laid it aside. He kept checking through the resumes of other people to see who was best for the job. After a few minutes of a thorough, none of them beat the profile of a young man. Andrew saw excellence in his profile. “I will definitely go for this person!” He thought in his head. Andrew intentionally didn't pick Clarke due to what he had undergone in his hand. Andrew called Clara to his office. Clara stood on her feet. She walked in a rush to his office. Getting into his door, she closed it right behind her, she drew close. Andrew looked up. T
Andrew didn't say a word, he was just watching him to see the drama he was going to perform. Clarke immediately walked out of his office to meet with assistant presidents. “Miss Clara, I honestly do not like this. Did you bring me here to mock me? The CEO is not in there,” he fired at her. Clara was surprised. “That's impossible. The CEO is in his office. Did you meet anybody in there or is it just empty?” She asked him. Clarke heaved in some air. “You are trying my patience! The person I met there is a mediocre! Andrew! Probably he had come there to clean and sweep the floor. What baffles me is what he was doing in the chair of the CEO,” he said to her. Clara's face was met with shock. “You dare call the CEO a mediocre?” She roared at him. Clarke scoffed. “Don't make me laugh, how can that fool be the CEO of this corporation. Tell me another joke, because this one is not funny,” he expressed with a lot of displeasure. Clara looked at him in the face. “I am not joking here, Mr
