With a snort coming out of his mouth, he spoke harshly. "Are you mocking me? Just quickly say what you want to order. Don't make me upset."

He might have misheard because he was so tired,

"You heard what I said." Mason looked at him so confidently. "I'll have a drink for insomnia."

The cashier was silent as Mason said it again. He felt confident that what he said was true.

"Then ...." Instantly, his eyes widened as he realised something.

There was a secret in this cafe. Not everyone knew the menu Mason had just said.

"Sir, sir, please forgive me." The cashier immediately lowered his head, raising his hands before his chest. "I apologise for my rude words earlier. I really didn't realise it."

The man panicked. His hands were shaking and cold as icicles. He was afraid he would get into big trouble.

"Come, let me show you." The cashier stepped out from the counter with a nervous and trembling voice.

"This way, sir." The cashier raised his hand, pointing Mason towards the right side. "You just go straight to the red door at the end of the hall."

A drink for insomnia. It was a code that no one knew. Only the master and important guests knew the code.

He had been warned before to treat important guests well, but instead, he almost drowned himself in the ocean.

"Sir, I truly apologise." The cashier looked down regretfully again. "I really didn't know."

"You must do your job well," Mason emphasised his words.

"Well, sir, I'm really sorry." The man's voice trembled. "I'll improve my attitude to be even better to the customers."

Mason did not respond and turned around, immediately stepping off his feet after hearing the cashier's ramblings. He followed the directions, walking down the darkened hallway with no lighting.

The hallway had several abstract paintings in dark colours on the walls. The atmosphere felt cold and empty until he finally came to a red door with a classic carving in the middle.

Mason opened the red door, instantly brightened by the lighting from inside the room. Mason entered the room, and the atmosphere was warmer than outside.

A man was sitting, staring at the wall. "Why did you come in? Do you have something to say?"

The man still had his back to her, fiddling with the pen. He wasn't in the mood to be disturbed, but if a servant came in, he had something to tell him.

"Is there a problem?" The man tapped his finger on the table. "I told you to work well, didn't I?"

The man placed his pen on the desk and turned the chair around to face the door, but just as he turned around, he was surprised to see Mason in front of him.

"River."

Suddenly, the man immediately got up from his chair. "Mr. Mason."

He hurriedly tidied up his slightly messy clothes, then stood up straight, full of respect.

"Master, why didn't you tell me first?" River looked stunned at not having noticed Mason's arrival.

Mason raised one eyebrow. "Why can't I come here?

" "Ah, that's not it." River waved his hand in the air. "If I knew you were coming here, I would have prepared something to welcome you."

"No need." Mason smiled slightly.

"Have a seat, Master." River raised her hand, inviting Mason to sit on the couch in his office.

"I'm so glad you finally came here." He immediately bowed his head. "I'm sorry about what I said earlier because I thought it was my people who couldn't work well here."

River couldn't believe that the man in front of him was Mason Gilbert, a very important person to him.

"Yeah, no problem." Mason smiled slightly. "You should get some more training."

River immediately nodded while scratching the back of his head, which didn't feel itchy. "Ah, yes, it really sucks."

"You've done a good job." Mason gave a little compliment to the man in front of him. "What about the black data I asked for?

"I have collected it, sir." River returned to his desk and showed Mason the tablet in his hand. "Some big companies will cause chaos by spreading the disease."

Secretly, he had sent his servants to investigate some of those blacklisted companies, and he had gotten a lot of information there.

"But we've already managed to thwart it." River smiled, showing some more evidence of the work done.

Mason nodded slowly. "Indeed, they did it for profit, although it was sneaky, but we didn't start it first."

They were just going with the flow of the game, like any other company. To continue growing the business, everything must require struggle and sacrifice.

"Ah, Master. I got another very important piece of information." He put his tablet on the table and put on a serious face. "The information regarding the one company that made the mess will appear at the party that will be held tonight."

The party was called Luxury Class, where only big companies from famous families could attend. He was one of the guests there as well.

"Here's your invitation." River handed over a hard-cover invitation that looked very thick and luxuriously designed.

"Oh." Mason took the invitation and opened it.

"Actually, I wanted to give you that invitation yesterday." River smiled a little. "But I thought you might not want to come."

Mason never attended parties like this, especially since he lived in the Wilmer household. Being busy made him not interested in attending big parties that required him to meet many people.

"But this time, I will come." Of course, Mason's words came as a shock to River. "I'll come as the owner of a small company."

River smiled happily because Mason was finally willing to show up at a party like this.

"You'll definitely find someone of value there." River smiled confidently. "I'm sure you'll find what I mean." He looked at Mason as if giving a code. "But I also hope you'll be vigilant."
