100 - A new companion

“Thank you for helping me!” The girl said.

I stare at her flatly. “Just what are you thinking? Going in here alone? And you’re a mage.”

She instantly gets upset. “Hey! I’m here to train myself, alright?! There’s something coming up soon, and I just want to make sure I’m ready!”

I cross my hands. “But alone? And with nothing whatsoever?”

She’s not bringing anything with her. No bag, no weapons, nothing.

“Grr! I told you! I was training!” She squeaked.

“With no weapon and no bag of items? Really?” I raise my eyebrow.

She starts fidgeting. “I was experimenting something…”

If she was an NPC, I would give her a good earful to make impression. But since she’s not, I’ll just go easy on her.

“Bird brain.”

She tilts her head. “What did say?”

“You heard me. You’re stupid.”

She flinches. “What the hell?! What did you say that to me?!”

“No one comes to a dangerous place unprepared, stupid.” I scolded.

“I’m not unprepared! I’m a mage! My magic can do anything!”

“You just said you’re out of mana.”
