46 - Splitting up with Rean Again

“If you don’t, we’ll go to 29 and work our way down.” Rean said.

What he just said makes my anxiety returns and I immediately protect the buttons from him. “Not 29!”

“28, since you killed most of them in the hallway, we’ll clear the rest of the floors easily.” Rean bargained.

“NOT 28 EITHER!!” I immediately push 27th floor. There’s still something I need to do there.

“We’ll go our separate ways. The man is coming with me and we will go up once you’ve cleared the floor.” I told him with a nervous crack in my tone.

Rean pulls me by my shoulder. “It’ll be much faster if we do it together. Besides, do you think 27th floor is clear from monsters? Have you been there?”

“Hey! I have to save my bullets for unknown ambushes! I’ve already emptied a whole casing just firing on those you invited in here!” I yell at him, I was referring to the battle just now in 28th.

He pulls away. “How many bullets you got left?”

I take out the magazine in my gun and the ones I’ve reserved in my bag and pockets.
