In the academy.

A 3rd year student enters the Mission Board with wide strides. His tail is swishing behind him, and his ears are twitching cutely, anticipating a good news in this fine morning. He stops in front of the administrator’s desk, his brown eyes that are bright and hopeful gaze at the old man administrator with mirth.

“Hello, Mr. Administrator! I’d like to inquire for some missions today, please!” His clear voice and friendly tone are something one would not mind to hear first thing in the morning.

But the one hearing it, and being the only one other than the bright kid himself here, is the Mission Board’s administrator. And the old man doesn’t look happy as he looks up at him. He blinks at the kid.

At the other side of the counter, the bright student blinks his eyes back innocently. “?”

The old man blinks back lazily. “…”

“Sir?” the student tilts his head.

“…” The man only looks at him.

The student tilts his head the other way. He is just opening his mouth
