Ruling the Infinite Worlds

Chapter 10

  Adolor led them on the return journey, he used his sword to cut all the vines and branches obstructing their path. He was on the look out for snakes and poisonous insects because it was getting dark and insects and reptiles are more active during the night.

  They trekked for a few minutes before they joined an untared road. Many trucks and modified small vehicles were carrying goods and passengers to the city. A black stylish car parked in front of Adolor's group, Adolor opened the door for Dofy who entered and signaled to Louis to enter. Adolor entered and the car zoomed off.

  "Who is this?", the driver of the car asked Adolor as he noticed an additional passenger through the mirror.

  "Just an unlucky boy". Adolor who answered very briefly closed his eyes which stopped the curiosity of the driver.

  All the other vehicles traveling on the road drove off their way and greeted them respectfully. The car which was moving at a very fast speed soon got to the gate of the town.

  "This is the Northern gate of this City", Dofy said as the car parked for the usual inspection.

  The gate was obviously made of metallic alloy was manned  by a lot of soldiers with their guns held in their hands. The wall was so high and thick, it was wide  enough for all the soldiers stationed on it with lot of super weapons. There were also some soldiers armed with a long sword and some with knives as they all patrolled the perimeters of the wall.

  An man in military camouflage knocked on the window to which the driver rolled down the glass in response.

  "SIR", the soldier saluted once he saw Adolor. "You may go Sir", he continued still in the salutation posture. The driver continued the journey though with a slower speed.

  "This man must be a high ranking or retired military officer", Louis thought about what happened at the gate.

  HONK. HONK. The car hooted at the front of a very beautiful and well designed Estate which was located at the center of the city, in the middle of the Government House and the Barracks. The Inscription,WELCOME TO THE ROSETT  ESTATE was etched so big on the signboard located in front of the mansion.

  "When we were coming, I was seeing several billboards with the name Rosett which already gave the hint of the name of the city and this finally gave me the reason why a high level military officer could become a babysitter".

  The gate to the Estate opened in no time and the car drove them to the mansion in the center. The car pulled up and Adolor came down while the others except the driver highlighted.

  Just when they were about to enter the duplex, a fleet of armoured cars drove into the mansion and parked just in front of the mansion and Soldiers in the cars in front and behind came out of their cars and one of them opened the door where Earl Rosett was.

   GBIM. All the soldiers outside stood at attention as he got out of the car. As soon as he dropped out of the car, the cars filed into the surface garage for cleaning and maintenance.

    Mrs. Emily Rosett, Dofy's mother came out to greet her husband as she hugged him and they together went back inside with his hand on her shoulder 😍😍😍.

  "Where is Dofy?", Emily who noticed Adolor's presence asked.

  Earl Rosett who had already seen her daughter when she was sneaking away knew the only places she could go is either her room or her grandfather's room where she always be rescued. "You don't have to worry she will be available for dinner", Earl Rosett answered his wife as they went to their bedroom leaving Louis outside with Adolor.

  Roland Rosett, the patriarch of the Rosett Clan and Dofy's father who had changed from his suit into casual clothes sat at the head of the table and his wife on his right. The servants had served the dinner and they tried to wait for Dofy, but after few minutes of waiting they ate and left for their room.

  Hunger had chased Dofy to the dining room as she wished her parents had finished eating so that she would be able to postpone her sentence till tomorrow when her grandfather will be present. Luckily for her, her party had already gone to sleep.....

  DONG. DONG. DONG.

  It was morning already and the ringing of the bell woke up Louis who slept off by the door while waiting to be summoned the premises night...

  The family just finished breakfast when the Earl cleared his throat and gained everyone's attention. "Dofy, where did you go yesterday?" Earl Rosett asked.

  "I am sorry father. I would not do this again", Dofy answered as she already knew that arguing with her father cannot bring a good result.

  Earl Rosett laughed and just nodded his head contrary to the expectation of everyone who expected a very tough judgement.

  Adolor came in and saluted the Earl who nodded in response. "Sir, should the boy outside be sent away?"

  Dofy whose mind became at rest remembered that he had a friend who followed him from the forest. "Daddy he lost his memory and he has no money", she added.

  "Give him an Identity Card, Fifty Thousand Divis and send him away".

  "Yes Sir", Adolor saluted once again as he went to carry out his order.

Adolor was not surprised at the Earl's response as he knew that the Earl only laughs with his family, he is a very strict person outside home.

  After Louis was given all that Earl Rosett gave him, he set off for the librarian as the only thing he knew well was the language as it was almost the same thing with ELIMA Language.

  "Thank you for helping me when I needed it the most, I will repay you richly when I make it", Louis said as he walked out of the Estate.
