Chapter 9

  SWISSH

  Louis disappeared as the intensity of the Golden light suddenly increased. The Artifact spirit that materialized after Louis was teleported away shook his head in deep thoughts. "I hope this boy will grow up and become a real strong man in this world".

  "This little lad is very curious, let me add the history of this continued to his memory which he will able to recollect gradually", he though as he can into thin air, his face filled with laughter.

 

  A Golden lined hexagram appeared in the sky and the figure of a boy fell through it.

  JEEZ.

 

  "I was dropped into the sky by this old cunning guy", Louis thought as he was falling with a very fast velocity towards the ground. He looked around and all he saw was a thick forest, he could not see the soil as there were canopy of branches filled with leaves.

  "This old man must have done this intentionally". Louis was a none cultivator and a fall from such a height will result in instant death. He was now in the canopy of leaves and he tried to be able to lay hold on a branch close to the soil to at least reduce the force of impact.

  Just few metres to reach the ground, Louis tried again and he was able to grasp a branch with his left hand which reduced the impact a little as he fell almost immediately as a result of enough arm strength of balance. He was successful in  save his life but will be unable to use his left hand for few hours until he gets treatment as a result of dislocation of the shoulder joint and a minor fracture.

  "Thank God after all I am still alive after all", he muttered.

  "I hope to find a way out of this forest before night falls as it is not reasonable to spend a night alone in the forest with injury", Louis thought as he looked North South East West before he randomly picked a direction to trek.

  "I hope fate favours me", he prayed as he started a journey to nowhere in particular.

  No sooner than ten minutes since the start of his journey, he could hear the loud voice of a young lady and  another unrecognizable sound which he later knew that it was the hissing of a fierce beast.

  "I am really too lucky. I hope this lady will be able to take me with her", he thought as he walked briskly and cautiously towards the direction of the sound.

  A Very Beautiful Noble Lady dressed in a Red shirt and a black trousers was fighting a very big and long red snake with a very thin sword that looked like it would break the next second.

  "If I go now, I will bring danger to my life and I will also distract this beautiful lady", Louis thought.

  "This lady is so violent and still beautiful. What a twisting combination", Louis thought as he began looking fervently at this lady.

  Miss Dofy, a daughter of a rich business woman and an Earl sneaked to the Violet Forest to level up. She wanted to be self independent and prove to her father that she is mature already. (More about her would be discussed later).

  She overestimated her strength and wisdom as she thought she was able to sneak out uncaught. The moment she left, information got to her father who sent a high leveled man to protect him in secret.

  She was a bit unfortunate as the beast she met first was stronger than her with quite stronger than her and this was what led to the current embarrassing station.

  Wounds were aggravating on the Snake's body, deep long gashes and some little wounds bleeds. Dofy herself was not free from injuries as she was bleeding on her shoulder and back as the fierce exchange continued.

  The moment Louis was about fifty metres close to Dofy, Adolor was able to notice but he stayed hidden to know what his intentions were.

  The battle grew fiercer and more intriguing wth two spectators, a guardian and an admirer. Wounds increased and both sides were getting weak until another of her sword strike hit the snake, the snake tried to slither away in pain which it was able to do for few meters till it lay calm.

   "YEEHH", Dofy screamed happily as she succeeded even though with a high price, she can finally be independent. She walked to the snake to take away the important parts when; SHOOO, the snake sprang up to give this girl a sneak attack...

  "Can a snake be this wise? Playing dead? This is wonderful', Louis thought but there was no weapon and no strength.

   The laughing Dofy screamed in fright as the 'dead' snake came back to life... Before the attack could hit her, Adolor's sword was already back in the sheath.

  "Am I not dead yet?", Dofy was murmuring as she first opened an eye then the other. She was shocked and embarrassed to see Uncle Adolor and the corpse of the snake.

  Adolor only laughed as he looked at Dofy without saying a word as Dofy's punishment for disobedience already awaits her.

  The laugh on Adolor's face turn to gloom as he unsheathed his sword again, he pointed the sword at the bush. "Are you going to come out voluntarily or I force you".

  Louis who was inside the bush and thought he was a safe distance away was shocked. "So I had been noticed all these while".

   "Uncle Adolor, who were you talking to?"

  "Do you really want me to force you?", Adolor said without giving Dofy an answer.

  Louis who was hoping he was not the one already of this man strength so he came out raising his two hands and walking slowly...

  "What is your intention for monitoring the Young Miss for more than thirty minutes?", Adolor asked playfully as he already noticed Louis's strength was inferior to a rabbit.

  Louis whose only knowledge about this continent was that it is a modern world could have said he was a scientist but what was a scientist doing outside alone? Or what if the scientific knowledge was different?

  "Answer me".

  "I am Louis and that was the only thing I can remember. Please where am I?", Louis lied as he brought in his acting skills to the fullest.

  Adolor examined the boy's face which seems honest without a trace of falsehood and lifted his suspicion.

  "Uncle it's dark, let us go home", Dofy whose wounds have stopped bleeding as a result of the healing pills she took shouted.

  "Please take me with you", Louis muttered with a begging and pitiful face.

  "Okay let's get going".
