Chapter 12 : Eric Illusion 2

Everything became quiet. There was no noise, no voices. Nothing. No one.

Then Thomas was finally able to breathe again and he took in a deep breath, gasping lightly before he breathed deeply again, closing his eyes, feeling relieved, as though a huge weight had just fallen off his shoulders and disappeared. The grip around his body loosened. But then something else happened as well. Thomas opened his eyes. He saw a pair of brown ones directly in front of him, gazing back at him with a look of concern on his face.

“Are you okay? You don’t look so good.” A gentle, familiar voice murmured and Thomas turned his gaze toward him, unable to hold back a small smile. That was him, that was the voice that had just spoken, the boy who had caught him stealing apples. “Do you want to sit somewhere quieter so we can talk properly?” The older boy asked him, his brows knitted slightly in worry.
