IN TROUBLE

“Listen, are we going to keep wasting time worrying about who might fall in here or we face what we are here for?” Byron asked.

Yes he knew the consequences but the faster they got out of this dump, the better for all of them.

“He is right.” Tbaj shrugged and they all started.

The three of them dug and dug and dug until midnight. They all took turns in creating the whole, linking to the outer part of the place where they were going to crawl out and escape.

When it was Byron's turn, he poured the sand that was coming from the outside into a bucket and handed it to Sucre for him to pour it somewhere before giving him back the empty bucket so he could continue the process.

“Step aside.” Byron said and they all did as he said. “The sand is going to come down in 3.. 2..1.” At his last words, the place was filled with dust.

They coughed and covered their nose as they raised their head to see the hole was now visible.
