He narrowed his eyes as he caught sight of the content in the box. He slowly brought it out and placed it on his bed, before falling into deep thought.

“A suicide hang rope?” Byron muttered as he scanned the box for more but it was only the rope that was sent to him.

Then he recalled Derek telling him to make use what was in the package this night after talking to Lincoln on the phone.

It was almost 6pm and he quickly placed the rope back into the box and slid it under his bed.

Indeed, he needed to talk to Lincoln.

At the moment he got there, the landline was already ringing. As he was about to pick, the call stopped.

“Shut!” Byron cursed. He checked the time on the walk and saw it was 6:03. It was past 6 and maybe Lincoln has been trying to reach him!

Damnit!

He stood there for a little bit more but the landline never rang again. It makes him wonder what Lincoln wanted to say to him. And what reason was it for him to be given a suicide hang rope?
