Seth drove into the town's central park where Sasha had stationed herself. He found her already dishing out the foods and sharing them.
He got out of the car, and observed the crowd in front of her. He walked slowly through it until he got to the platform where she had placed each food, and was serving. Seth watched her impressively dish out the food into plates, and share it."Need a hand?" He asked peering up at her."I thought you wouldn't make it today? I did not want you to bother at all. It is a lot of work just being up here, and I'm sure you must be really tired already." She replied as more homeless people trooped in to get food."How did you manage to get them to be so organised?" Seth asked her."Well I promise to tell you if you help me get the food to everyone left." She said with a smile.Seth nodded and picked up the plates of foods she had already dished out. As soon as everyone had eaten, the food was almost donSeth had barely reached for the door when a loud noise burst into my eardrums, blinding him momentarily. He was barely able to recover from the explosion, darting his eyes everywhere to recall where he was when his eyes landed on an unconscious Aidan, lying amid the rubble. Apparently, he must have been injured during the explosion. Ignoring his own safety, he hurriedly went to meet the security guard, who was apparently still there. in a dazed condition like Seth, "Help me get Aidan downstairs, will you?" He eased tapping the man repeatedly."Hurry!" He beckons to the security, asking him to help me get Aidan downstairs."But sir," he calls, struggling to recall where he was. "Where are we taking him?" He inquired, holding Aiden by two hands, while Seth struggled with his legs coming down the stairs ever so carefully."Just hold them; I will get someone to help drive us out of here," Seth pleaded, dropping Aidan's legs and re
“What happened here? I demand that you tell me.” Phoebe roared, despite Seth's several attempts to calm her down.“Honey, listen to me,” he pleaded, shaking her vigorously. “Nothing happened,” he pleaded, rushing to take her to a secluded place so that she doesn't make a scene. “No, you will not pull me away from here,” she shrieked as he dragged her away from the reception room. The relatives of several patients were looking and exchanging curious glances between themselves, making hushed murmurs.“What happened to Adian?” She demanded, widening her eyes as she freaked out, flinging her hands in the air, “One minute you were on your way home, the next you are at the hospital. And you say I do not need an explanation?” “Don't tell me this is your way of getting back at Adian,” she rattled on. Of course she was aware of the tension between them, but she just did not want to admit it. Initially, Seth was not deserving of a spot in th
"Seth, can you explain what happened here?" Grandma inquired upon entering the ward; her eyes widened ajar, with streams of eyeliner running down her face. It was evident at first glance that she had been crying for a while. "What did you write in that text?" Seth inquired, whispering in Phoebe's ear. What the hell did Phoebe write in that text? He mused to himself, watching as Grandma maneuvered towards the ward as Gloria struggled to hold her down. "Calm down, mom; nothing happened to him," Seth explained, rushing to her side and helping her into the ward. The machines that were plugged into Aidan's system made several beeps all at once. Her eyes widened as she set her sights on the machines, breaking free from Seth's hold and rushing to sit beside Aidan. "Um, mom, you are not meant to sit there. "You won't tell me what to do," she barked back, cutting Seth's words off and shooting him a deadly glare.
"Grandma, what you did was not cool,” Phoebe cried, shutting the door behind her as she stormed inside the house. The light from the TV is the only source of lighting in the dimly lit living room. Her grandma's loud cackle filled the entire room as she fed her eyes with the characters and drama displayed on television. “And what did I do, my dear?” She inquired, craning her neck in the direction of a very annoyed Phoebe. “Leaving Seth to tend to Aidan all alone,” she flared, her chest heaving up and down as she spoke while her grandma watched in sheer amusement. “Grandma, you embarrassed him by making a scene at your arrival in the reception.” "Oh, please,” she chuckled softly, returning her eyes to the television in front of her. “You are overthinking the entire thing.” "No, I am not grandma,” she insisted, trudging towards the center of the living room,. obstructing her view. “I know it's not just in my head; you purposely embarrassed G
The drive from the hospital to their home was definitely not going to be a long one, but Grandma had insisted on sleeping in a whole new place. Phoebe was forced to rent two separate rooms, one for her grandma and the other for herself and Gloria. After a quick shower, she slumped into bed and hoped for sleep to come and take over, but nothing came. She tossed and turned around in bed, and as soft and comfortable as the bed was, she found it very, very impossible to fall asleep. Perhaps the little sleep she had at the hospital was the cause of her wide open eyes, or maybe it was because she was worried and afraid. She knew that her family was far from friends and not to talk about being a good family to each other, but she never expected murder to be the next thing on their minds. Why would they even try to kill Aidan, of all people? Was she going to be the next target? She was the new CEO after all. Should she be expe
Almost as if she was being controlled by the time or like her life had been connected to it through an invisible strand. As the hour struck eight exactly, Phoebe sat up in bed with a tired yawn. Her grandmother had already gotten out of bed as she looked to her side and found that she was alone on it. It took a second for her brain ro start working properly and when it did, “oh sh*t!” She exclaimed as she jumped out of bed. Throwing on her clothes, she ran to the living room but found no one there. “Mom? Mom!” She called out as she hurriedly put herself together. “She isn't here.” She muttered to herself. “Right! Gloria's room!” She spoke loudly to herself almost as if she was having a conversation with someone else. The door pushed open as she hurried out of her suite and she slammed it behind her before hurrying to Gloria's suite. Luck seemed to be on her side as she hurried down the hallway and almost bumped into her mother from the way she hurried. “Dear goodness child!” gr
“Are you watching him?” Marlin inquired, swirling the bottle of beer he was holding in his palm, getting to partner with Sasha has been the easiest since they both had one goal, which was to make sure the marriage between Seth and Phoebe was divorced and they both go their separate ways.“Affirmative,” Sasha nodes, her eyes not leaving the computer screen. , She had visited Seth this morning with two objectives in mind… one was to let him know that she was even more caring than he supposed wife, and another was so she could plant the camera in his room and over see everything that is going on… hopefully even his nakedness.“What is going on with him?” Marlin inquires, pulling her out if her fantasies and back to reality.. he has been obsessed with Phoebe for the longest time now and even though Phoebe we fully aware of this, she somehow still picked that lowly Seth over him, now it hurts him even more to see that the relationship between the both might actually be
Seth's car took a sharp turn to the left and headed down the street, parking in front of the supermarket, as Seth alighted as headed into the supermarket, tucking his phone away in his pocket.Marlin and Sasha's car was parked a few rows away from him as they observed him from a distance."Damn," Marlin cursed, slamming his hand into the steering wheel, "the mother fucker is headed towards the grocery store," he sneered, narrowing his eyes as he glared at Seth in disgust."Do you think he would get me something," Sasha smiled, flickering her eyes dreamily. She imagined how he would look, walking through the aisles, picking out stuff and tossing them in the shopping cart."Quit being delusional," Marlin snapped, feeling even more enraged with her display of stupidity, " was he really on the call because he wanted to get groceries?' he mused, talking more to himself than to Sasha who was seated on the passenger seat next to him."Maybe he w
