THE INCIDENT

Seth had barely reached for the door when a loud noise burst into my eardrums, blinding him momentarily.

He was barely able to recover from the explosion, darting his eyes everywhere to recall where he was when his eyes landed on an unconscious Aidan, lying amid the rubble. Apparently,  he must have been injured during the explosion.

Ignoring his own safety, he hurriedly went to meet the security guard, who was apparently still there. in a dazed condition like Seth,

"Help me get Aidan downstairs, will you?" He eased tapping the man repeatedly.

"Hurry!" He beckons to the security, asking him to help me get Aidan downstairs.

"But sir," he calls, struggling to recall where he was. "Where are we taking him?" He inquired, holding Aiden by two hands, while Seth struggled with his legs coming down the stairs ever so carefully.
