Phoebe held Seth firmly around his neck as she too shivered from the adrenaline that was pumping through her veins. She turned to him and looked into his eyes, tears welling up in hers, and a sense of relief painted all over her face. He kissed her gently and whispered back, “Now we wait,” but she found this question more frightening than the bullet that had just almost taken her life.
