As Orie watched Shin, he heard the voices of the gods saying "Time up. It's his turn now." and the markings on body faded away. Then he snapped his fingers and was immediately dressed like his normal self with the overcoat and scarf and backed away.
Shin grabbed Endo and jumped out of the pit then put him in a sitting position and said to him "I need you to listen to me"
The rage inside Endo was too much. there was no way he was going to comply with the man that massacred his entire kingdom but that wasn't the only reason. Everyone; including Shin found it strange that throughout the entire ordeal, he didn't utter any word. If anyone was as enraged as Endo was he would have at least let out some the rage verbally and even if his mind was in disarray, a thousand years alone was quite enough to come up with a meticulous plan to exact his revenge. But for some reason every decision Endo made so far was crude as if he didn't even care about revenge. It was as if his objective was to kill without reason.
The one thing that people who seek revenge have in common is the fact that they get obsessed with their targets. They try to look for weaknesses and watch out for strengths but most of all, they are obsessed with finding out what would make their opponents suffer.
It is a known fact that no avenger would grant his enemy an easy death but Endo's actions seemed to be disproving of this fact. Every one of his strikes was aimed at finishing the battle quickly even when he was strong enough to bully his opponent.
There were two conclusions that one would jump into when in this situation. The first was that revenge wasn't his main aim and that there was something more important to him that he could gain from killing Shin. This could explain why he kept striking with decisive blows. The second conclusion correlates with the first with the exception of the fact that Endo wasn't really in control of his own actions. Someone else was using his rage as a means to try and get rid of Shin and It was quite obvious who it was:The order
Shin was aware of the existence of an ability that caused uncontrollable rage. It didn't require any form of control or mastery all the caster had to do was to infuse his target with a dose of uncontrollable rage. What makes this power scary is that not even the the caster has control of what the receiver does and since it doesn't require any form of control it may as well be infinitely powerful. The receiver decides who to take out his rage on and if the caster is lucky their targets might be the same. This spell is most effective when the receiver already has someone in mind and in Endo's case, it was super effective.
The only known means of breaking the spell was for Endo to let out all the rage. If that didn't work, they would have to beat the living shit out of him until he regained his senses.
"let's do this" Shin said as he doused Endo's suit with enough lightning to fully charge it. "This energy should match the rage" he said to himself "with this he should be able to let it all out" he thought as he backed away slowly from the awakening Endo.
Slowly, Endo stood up and looked at the man in front of him and with little hesitation he rushed to attack. even he wasn't as fast as Shin but he was fast enough stop him from from launching any counter attacks.
The battle was kept at a stalemate in accordance to Shin's plan but Endo's rage couldn't let things stay that way. Not even up to a minute into the battle, Endo abruptly created a huge distance between him and Shin. Before Shin could close the gap, Endo stabbed his sword into the ground and yelled out "IRON LEGION!!!!" and immediately, there was an army standing right in front of Shin. At this point, Shin without doubt admitted that he had messed up.
No one expected this
They knew Endo was kinda pissed
But they forgot to check his power
And it all kinda led to this.
Aside the fact they were facing an army, something else was bothering Victor.
"Shiro, are you seeing this?!!"
"of course I am, who isn't?!!"
Right in front of them stood no ordinary army. It was surprising enough that a guy from a thousand years ago wore a suit of armour that surpassed the technology of the current era, but for him to have an advanced robot army; that was just too much to handle.
The robots didn't carry swords; this became known to everyone when they started running from the lasers that shot out of the robot's hands.
"Shin you should've at least seen this coming" Shiro yelled amidst the rain of lasers
"Well I never really fought the guy" Shin replied with a shrug
"I basically just used the spell immediately I saw him"
"And why the f**k would you do that?!!" Shiro yelled
"I don't know" Shin replied
"maybe it's because the whole f**king island was sinking and that was the only way to save him"
"oooh"
"oooooh"
"Anyway" Shiro said
"let's destroy these advanced metal scraps"
Not really much was said after then
Shiro and Shin rushed into battle
and the others followed after them
Shiro smiled as he put on his headphones and let the rhythms flow. Others also got battle ready; Mia had swords on standby, Yamato had his clones ready as he set up a barrier to stop anyone from leaving the area(this was done under Orie's Instructions), while Orie was busy doing something Tanaka couldn't understand.
"What are you doing?" Tanaka asked as she watched Orie walk around her multiple times.
"I'm setting up a barrier" Orie replied as he bent down and touched the floor.
"around me?" she asked
"yes" Orie replied as he watched the crystal clear barrier surround Tanaka and stood up.
"Nothing can get in, nothing can get out. This applies to you too." he said as he walked to go join the fight.
Shin seemed to be faring well against the robots but that wasn't the case for the Others. The robots were highly tolerant to lighting and this made things hard for Shiro. Shin had the strength and speed to dismantle each of the robots within seconds but was having a really hard time since physical attacks were his only option.
The robots also had very tough armour. even Mia's swords had a hard time getting through. Each blade she pulled out was either broken or blunted after few strikes and at rate she was going, she wasn't far away from exhaustion.
Victor wasn't afraid of exhaustion. He was doing just fine. He was teleporting all over the place and every robot that aimed at him ended up shooting his fellow soldiers. The only problem he had was the one that he shared with everyone except for Shin: There was no end to the Iron legion.
Yamato's issue was also the same Victor's but Orie had it worse than any one else; he was the one facing Endo.
"Isn't it about time you used those your godly powers?" Shiro yelled
"It doesn't work that way" Orie replied
"what do you mean?" Shiro asked
"I can only use them when I'm doing something for the gods and right now I'm not" Orie answered
"I saw you using them last time, what were you doing for doing for the gods then?" Shiro answered
"saving you" Orie answered
"And what do I have to do with the gods?" Shiro asked
"you are Amadioha's thunder"
After hearing Orie's answer to his question the only thing could come out of Shiro's mouth was "ehhh?"
"magic, supernatural abilities, superpowers, talents, quirks... we call it many things depending on where we come from, what we learned and how it rolls off the tongue. Those who have it cultivate it and integrate into their daily lives, those who don't have it sometimes study it, but the question that is asked on both sides is the question of its origin. hardly anyone in the world knows the origin of this thing we call 'magic' people have studied and searched but to no avail. there is no culture on earth that has any records of its origin. this was baffling to the archeologists, something that was so significant had no story that spoke of its origin. Human beings have searched without rest for an answer that I have. all they have to do is ask any priest but they don't want 'superstitious' answers. what they do not understand is that those 'superstitious' answers are true facts so they wallow in their answerless search." "I KNOW THE ORIGIN, I KNOW THE ROOT." My visions tell m
01011000, 10000101, 01-01-1000, 1000-01-01. The one thing all these numbers have in common is the memory that they trigger (and also the fact that they're binary but that's not the issue). once someone comes in contact with any of them, they are immediately reminded of the beginning of recorded history. one day the entire world gained what was perceived as free will. they never felt chained or forced against their will before then but after that day, they felt like they were finally able to do what they truly wanted. This led to a whole year's worth of chaos and was the first ever recorded event in history. events before that time could not be recorded because there was hardly anyone with memories of them and no one knew why(generally speaking). It was also a wonder why there were no records of the past before then but there was no record to depend on to tell why there was no record. In the end the chaotic year was dubbed the year of oblivion and everyone one went on with
Uzo's most memorable moment took place in his childhood when his power first manifested. there was a time of the year when all the children in the village were brought before the prophets and asked various questions mostly their names and if they had any special ability. he remembered when his turn came to answer those questions. "what is your name?" the prophet asked calmly "Uzo'ndu" he replied. as soon as he uttered his own name, everything stopped for a moment and within that moment he saw multiple instances of his death within the next few days, all of which he could not understand and somehow knew how knew what to do to prevent it. The first step was to lie when he was asked the next question. "Do you have any special abilities?" "No" "Do you feel energy flowing through you?" "What's energy?" "Do you feel tingly in any part of your body?" "Yes, in my stomach, when I get hungry" "Don't joke with me kid" "You seem to be the one joking with me" And th
"come to think of it, I don't know how my village came to be" "and now it's been destroyed and wiped out of history...." "wait....." "what is history?" these thoughts ran through Uzo's mind as he evaded the fleet's lasers and headed back towards the ruined village. he was glad when he saw the entire fleet follow him back and he was assured of his family's safety. as soon as he reached the outskirts of the village, he immediately sunk his arm into the ground and turned it as if he had held on to something. then suddenly two cannons rose up from the ground and began firing at the fleet. "my power amazes me sometimes" Uzo said as he sat back and watched the beautiful display of fireworks. The show was fun and all but it had to come to an end at some point, and that point wasn't when neither side could no longer fire anything at each other. the fleet was the first to run out and they received a lot of damage until Uzo's cannons ran out. but the show was far from over an
as we have come this far with the story, there is something that I have felt the need to do. you surely have noticed that some of the words I use are not common or do not exist in the English dictionary. well that's because they're not English (obviously). one could check on G****e or use any other translation software but you might be led astray. not because the translation is wrong (it is sometimes) but because one word could mean different things and most translations don't take metaphor into account. what I'll be doing isn't translations. but rather, I'll be trying to let you see the meaning of those words from my own perspective. I won't be explaining much unless I feel it's necessary. so without further ado, let's get into it. FUBUKI: this this is Japanese word for snowstorm. in this story it is used as Natsumi's surname and it is also the name of the island most of the story's events take place. OTUMOPKOR: the 'O's are supposed to have dots underneath them but I
For days, the lightning walked past countless villages, scaled many mountains and crossed hundreds of rivers. he didn't know why he saved Uzo's life, he didn't know why he left the forest, he didn't know where he was going, he didn't even know who he was. all he knew was that he was going in the direction of where he should be. hunger and thirst could not stop him, neither could the dangers that lurked in the dark. there was nothing on his mind other than the direction he needed to go. this continued until he arrived at beach and couldn't go further. he was sure that he wasn't in the place he was meant to be but he could no longer tell which direction to go. as he contemplated his next decision, he laid on the sand and fell into a deep slumber. he slept for hours until he was finally woken up by the waves that crashed into him and after that a great amount of pain came upon his stomach. he soon noticed that it was hunger but he had nothing to eat so he had to bear it. n
Mina's agony was apparent. the tears that fell down her cheeks were filled with great sadness. on the other hand, Yen was sure that he had arrived in his destination, the problem was to do when he got there. he was aware of Mina's pain but he didn't know what to do about it, and before he could do anything he was distracted by a loud voice that said "we have you surrounded. come out with your hands in the air" on hearing the voice, Mina's sadness immediately switched to anger. "I want those bastards dead" she said as she reached for her crossbow and got ready for battle. then she looked outside and saw the great number that she was up against. it was like a welcoming party of death. each one of them looked dangerous and hard to deal with and Mina immediately realized how irrational her decision was and crawled to the part of the deck that couldn't be seen from outside. "don't listen to them" she said, looking at Yen "It doesn't matter what we do, they're still going to ki
the walls stood tall, the gates shone like the morning sun, but what surprised Mina the was the fact that Yen called it his new home. "What do you mean?" she asked "how can you be so sure?" she added. and Yen replied "I don't know, but I have this great feeling that I'll spend most of my days here" "there are a lot of things I do without fully understanding them" he added "this is one of them" he said as he threw a lightning bolt at the gate forcing it open. Mina's expectation was for a large number of armed guards to immediately rush out and face them, but the actual response was quite calm. the gate opened and a single person came from within. a Middle aged man stood in front of Yen and Mina asking the questions "who are you? and what is your aim here?" "I'm a traveller." Yen answered "and I need a place to stay" he added "so you are the intruders H.Q was talking about" the man said as his already angry looking face began to look angrier. "how did
