Mia recalled a conversation she once had with Shiro. She remembered asking him "if I ever turned my blade against you, what would you do?" And Shiro's answer was "I don't know"
"I don't know if I could bring myself to fight against you" was Shiro's answer but it wasn't one that she approved of.
"If I ever turn against you" she said
"It would not be of my own will"
"and I wouldn't be in my right mind"
"So whatever happens"
"Stop me"
"Even if it means breaking my bones"
As Mia recalled the event, she gave Shiro a piercing stare that carried the message "You thought I meant it literally?" and he gave back a look that said "well... I don't know what you're talking about" and her stare turned into a cold gaze.
"Shiro dear" she said in a calm but threatening tone
"You know I love you right?" She added and Shiro was like "oh shit!!"
"But..." She said and Shiro already knew what was coming.
"I'll surely get back at you for this" she said and Shiro just leaned his back his and sighed "knew it!"
According to the answer Mia got from Natsumi, the were headed for the 'lone house in the middle of nowhere' where Nega lived. Meanwhile, Phil was having what he claimed to be a hard time but anyone that saw him would think that no one would have made it look easier than he did.
With little hiding spots to hide, he remained in the enemy's field of view but somehow they couldn't get a shot in. Things would have gone quite straight forward if he wasn't running out of bullets but even as the fight didn't go smoothly, he was not the unfortunate one.
As he pulled the pulled the trigger to hear that click that one hears when he's out, he hid behind a small thick iron sheet that barely provided enough cover and heaved a great sigh.
"So this is what Matéo had to deal with" he said as he tried to calm his breath
"I really didn't want to use this" he said as tugged at the rope that hung on his waist
"Now I have no choice but to stomach what comes next"
After calming his breath and loosening the rope, he stepped out of his small cover and fired a shot. It was perfect headshot but the amazing thing was what came after. With a swift motion of his hand one end of his rope was coiled around somebody's neck and as he pulled it back, someone was missing a head. Soon, a whole array of heads began having attachment issues with their bodies and whoever got shot was counted as lucky. The enemy's bullets couldn't get to him as he deflected them with his rope, his eyes could see far and his mind worked very fast so they had no way of overwhelming him.
'Bullseye' the ability that runs in the Vaquero family. Their sights are so sharp that they could see bacteria with their naked eyes, and it doesn't just end there. Unlike the Rosewells whose geometric vision is limited to the eyes, the Vaqueros' ability is tailored into their very being. They don't just see clearly, they move smoothly and swiftly. Another thing was that the Vaqueros never miss. If a Vaquero ever claimed to miss, it was a lie. Normally the existence of such power would give rise to caution but the only people that see him in action are either his enemies or his very close friends, his enemies don't make it out alive and his friends don't snitch.
SHIN SEKAI SECRET: there is a group of people called HUTERS that go into the forbidden zones to fight. They bring back rare and precious items and earn a lot of money. Many children born with powers dream of becoming hunters when they grow up.
Power is always associated with trouble. Sometimes it is great enough to save us from trouble, sometimes it isn't. Sometimes it is so great that trouble can't get close and sometimes its greatness is the reason why trouble comes. Sometimes it's not about how you use it, sometimes it's about the power itself. The mere existence of a certain power could stir up fear, awe, hatred and envy depending on who percieved it and how they do. "My power is supposed to kind that helps me escape trouble" Victor said to himself as he drove through an empty road with nothing but desert on both sides. "But unfortunately" he said with a sigh "I'm stuck with a lot of trouble magnets" "What a drag" It wasn't long before the lonely house in the middle of nowhere came into view but it wasn't the only thing in sight. What was seen was both scary and magnificent. A lone cowboy stood in front of the house and before him was a fresh field of corpses that spread far around the hou
"A great awakening happened once" "And the people of the world regained the sense of self they never knew they had lost" "Returning along with it was their greed, and their desire to own things." "All property was unclaimed and the race to claim them was intense, so intense that it lead to fights, then small group battles, then full scale wars between Nations." "Our freedom from the order brought a chaos that that we could not handle" "And it took a long time before we could attain balance" These were the words of Edward Clipper as he sat with them through the journey. "Why are you telling us this?" Shiro asked and Edward answered. "It is a truth I must speak as a descendant of one who saw it all with open eyes" he said "All the land was taken over by the order but the sea wasn't, and the sea was the home of my ancestors" "As those who were unaffected by the enslaving rule of the order, they witnessed the unfolding phenomenon with full awareness and
When your life is weird enough that travelling half across the world by sea in a single morning doesn't freak you out, you know you need a break. But unfortunately for Shiro, the weirdness of his life doesn't allow for breaks either. As he laid on his bed to get some extra shut-eye, someone knocked on the front door of his house. He was too lazy to answer it and remained on his bed whining about it. "Oh, come on" he lamented "I just got back" "Can't someone just let me sleep in peace" "Even if it is just five minutes" Soon the knocking stopped and it was then that Shiro remembered that he had left the door open. "Oh, shit" By the time he realized what was going on, there was a stranger in his room and he was jumping out the window. "What's with the grin?" Shiro wondered as he looked back at the crazy looking guy that was after him. "Do these guys ever get tired?" He asked as he kept running. Shiro ran until the was far enough from him house and in a
"The breeze in the west shall become the storm in the east" "It shall become a powerful force in the north" "And a sight of awe in the south" "And when it returns to the west..." "It shall be unstoppable" "My dear boy, Andrew Clipper" "These are not mere words" "This is your story" On hearing this, Andrew opened his eyes. He was on his knees and Orie stood beside him, placing a hand on his head. The room was dark and was lit by seven candles, and there was no one else in the room with them. Though all the doors and windows in the room were closed an intense wind blew within it. Gradually, the wind got stronger and blew ferociously around the empty room. It was strange that the seven candles didn't go off. "You are a storm that will sweep through all" "A wind that can move lands" "A reckoning force of greatness" "An unbreakable wind" "That, is what you are" Shiro was waiting for them outside the room. Throughout his the time he was wa
The new world tournament was one unique tournament. Despite the fact that it was held by a school and it's participants were staff and students, it still managed to draw worldwide attention. One contributing factor to this could be that the Shin-sekai academy was a prestigious school and was attended by the children of many of the world's elites but the major factor was that it proved to be more entertaining than many others in the world. The structure of the tournament was divided. The teachers' tournament took place first then the students' came after. After winners had been decided from both sides, the two winners would then have a face off. The winner of the previous teacher's tournament was Fuji Waramaki who had remained undefeated for five years. He also won all the face-offs with the student champions. The teachers tournament was full of old faces and the only two new faces in the tournament were Orie and Natsumi. Not many expected a different result from the teach
Just in case you were wondering where the fight was happening, the SHIN SEKAI company built a large stadium in the middle of the island where all roads cross. It was not exactly a hard place to find; in fact it was the most findable place in all of the island. The city was crowded with people from all over the world who were there for many different reasons. With the exception of those that came to spectate the matches, the most common visitors to this event were scouts and reporters. The tournament may not do much for the teachers, but it had the power to determine the future of the students that participated. "Ellie Porter here, reporting live from stadium one" a woman spoke with a clear voice as she stood with a microphone in front of a camera man. "As you can see, people from all over the world have come to witness the first match of the new world tournament" "This tournament was first introduced thirteen years ago on the same year that the school was built"
"Ellie Porter here" "Live from the inside of the stadium and best seat in the house" "The starting buzzer for the match has been sounded but neither of the contenders have moved from their starting positions" "Cal is taking his time to charge up his power but we have no idea why Orie hasn't moved yet" "I still stand on my support for him but he has done what the rest of the world consider to be the greatest mistake in the history of this tournament" Ellie was right. Everyone that won against Cal in the previous tournament was powerful but that wasn't the only reason they won; they were able to win because they stopped him from charging up properly. The last person that let him charge up fully got knocked out in one hit and that was the expectation most of the crowd had for Orie. Soon, Cal had finished charging up. One could tell by the steam-like aura that could be seen emanating from his body. He got ready to move as the cheering of the crowd got louder; he was con
You never truly appreciate a miracle unless you heard of it before it happened. That moment when the thing you thought was just too impossible begins to unfold before you for the very first time. There is no look more precious than that of one who has had such experience. Miracles happen only once. After that, it becomes a possibility. Cal and Orie were initially rated on a seven to one ratio. This meant that the officials of this tournament believed that Cal was at least seven times more powe6r than Orie and seven times more likely to win. At the current time the ratio had become ten to one. It seemed hopeless for the few that had put their faith in Orie. The match wasn't over but the situation made them feel the winner was already decided. "What is he doing in there?" "Does he have a death wish?" "Just give up already!!"even some of those that were on his opponent's side felt pity for him but Orie was not one to dwell on pity. He could not hear their words, al
