“Eddie, are you sure we’ve done everything we can?” Jennifer asked, her voice still tinged with worry despite their recent victory.

Eddie looked over the stack of paperwork spread across the dining room table. “I think so, Jen. We’ve secured the inheritance and the authorities are dealing with Mark. We just need to focus on moving forward.”

Jennifer sighed, leaning back in her chair. “I guess I’m just nervous. It feels like something else could go wrong at any moment.”

Eddie reached across the table to take her hand. “I understand, but we’ve taken all the necessary steps. You’re safe now, and we’ll make sure it stays that way.”

Jennifer nodded, squeezing his hand. “I trust you, Eddie. It’s just... everything that’s happened has made me paranoid.”

“I know,” Eddie said softly. “But we’re in control now. We’ll handle whatever comes our way.”

Jennifer took a deep breath, then smiled. “You’re right. We’ve got this.”
