Jennifer’s heart pounded in her chest as she walked through the dimly lit streets, the echoes of her footsteps the only sound in the still night. Every shadow seemed to stretch and twist, every rustle of leaves caused her to look over her shoulder, expecting to see Eddie’s stern face glaring back at her. But the streets remained empty, and she pressed on, determined to find Frank and get the answers she so desperately needed.

The city was eerily quiet at this hour, the usual hustle and bustle replaced by an unsettling calm. Jennifer pulled her jacket tighter around herself, trying to ward off the chill that seemed to seep into her bones. She didn’t know where Frank was, but she had a good idea of where to start looking.
