He thought of lying to his comrades so he could conceal the secret of the dragon egg but he knew that would be unfair and dishonoring to them besides they were smarter than they looked and unless he lied to them about something they had no idea about it would be easy for them to detect he was lying however both elves knew how Lord Mordian could be an expert in telling a false tale so he decided to be straight up with them. "I am sorry my comrades, I do not wish to speak of what my nephew King Lauihnio of Bauthinia suffers - I swear by my gods it out of good intentions and not because of malice or lack of trust." He said.

"What is up with you? - you do not trust us?" Prince Elrond scowled.

Lord Mordian shook his head. "No." He retorted. "You two are the only ones I can trust with my secrets, you two are more than fathers to me, you taught me most of the things I know but this one is too delicate."
