Volume 2. Chapter 3 Visitors

Clara was so surprised. She wanted to know the truth and all the events that made him unable to understand.

"Can you tell me more clearly? Have we been being toyed with all this time?" Clara looked at Nita with all seriousness.

“I will take responsibility for my words, assuming you already know that. And I also apologize to him for not being able to keep this secret.” Nita began to feel like she didn't know whether to be honest or lie.

"Clara...the person who is the real prince is Rii, but Vail is the one who plays the prince and lives there for some reason, I don't know either."

"You love Rii and Cini, but because they are both your adopted older brothers. You can't do anything, then—"

“Wait a minute, how do you know this?” Clara interrupted Nita's words, she did that to find out the person who said that.

"Cini told us..." Nita said without lying.

"But Rii is at home—"

“What you saw was not Rii, but Vail,” Nita said.

"Why? Why?" Clara was increasingly confused.

"I know the reason myself, they switched roles—"

“That means the person who strangled him…” Clara connected this to the incident in Norf City.

"We don't know about that either, because the plan wasn't like that. In other words, the figure of Vail who strangled you is unknown. Mansa thought that it could be another ancestor's subordinate.” Nita told about their previous discussion.

“That's all I can tell you, and that's all.”

Clara didn't say anything, she just left the balcony and went into her room.

Nita felt guilty that she had been covering it up all this time, and also regretted that thought she had shot Clara knowing about this.

“Why did you tell her?” Cini and Rii approached Nita on the balcony.

“I thought he already knew.” Nita felt sorry.

“The rice has become porridge…” Cini changed himself again.

“….” Nita was surprised that Vail played Cini and not Rii.

“Vail, I'll leave Clara to you,” Cini asked Vail to make Clara not cry.

Vail went straight to Clara's room and knocked on the door.

“Clara, are you asleep? It's me, Vail.”

“Why are you playing with us?” Clara answered Vail's words from inside the room in a very downcast voice.

"I'm the stupid one because..."

"Clara, we did that because you love Rii very much. Hero told us all your words.” Vail told her and tried to make Clara feel better.

“Rii, change into me. Cini became Rii, and I became Cini…but now, that role is over right when you found out.”

"What is the reason? Is it because I already know..." Clara asked in a sobbing and annoyed voice.

“Then, Vail who took me to the sky was Rii?” Clara was so heartbroken.

"I'll say, can I go in first?" Vail asked Clara to let him into her room.

"No entry," Clara said in a choked voice.

"...." Vail understood that Clara was so disappointed in himself, Rii, and Cini.

Vail left Clara's bedroom door, realizing the mistake had made.

On the other hand, Clara was increasingly drowning in tears. Knowing someone she loves is so far away.

Two days later. Lina's engagement with Leon began to be heard, and it shocked Cini, Mansa, and the others.

At the sound of the door, Vail and Cini saw Clara running into her room, crying bitterly.

"....Clara?"

Not long after, Rii arrived. because their date was over and had fallen apart, just for some reason.

"What did you say to her?" Vail was very angry with Rii, because saw Clara crying and went straight to the room.

“I can't choose, I'm doing this for Clara. But on the other hand, Lina has feelings for me. Last night it was Lina who spoke to me directly before Clara came." Rii said with such sad words.

"Don't make me fed up!" Vail reached out and pulled Rii's shirt and looked at so annoyed.

"Clara sad because of you, I thought you would take it...but instead you--"

"What should I do ?!" Rii said with great annoyance at himself.

"Last night, Clara and Lina said they were having a political match..." Rii denied Vail's words, and forcibly released Vail's grip on him clothes.

“Clara asked me to choose Lina, while Lina asked me to choose Clara... do you know why Clara asked me to choose Lina? HAH!" Rii was so emotional.

“If you say naïve or selfish, YES I AM!”

“You two, stop fighting. Tonight is the day Lina gets engaged." Cini tried to intervene.

“What we need to do is fix this all, Vail, Rii. You have to think about how to make Clara happy again." Cini asked Rii and Vail.

"We have made the same mistake, don't let it happen a third time."

Vail and Rii listened to Cini's words, it reminded them of their previous actions. Vail also said that Clara loves Rii.

Asking Rii to improve his relationship with Clara, by taking advantage of the engagement party between Lina and Leon.

"Is this brother-in-law?" Tiara, who was at the cemetery, saw a mysterious person wearing a mask. And looked at the funeral of Zein's late mother.

"Tiara." Turning to the source of the voice behind him, he found Tiara in the cemetery alone and carrying flowers.

“That voice, brother-in-law Vail. What is brtoher-in-law doing here?” Tiara walked over and placed flowers on the burial stone with Julian's inscription.

"I'm not the person you mean." Said the masked man.

“I won't ask further, but brother-in-law. What are you doing here?" Tiara didn't want to spoil the atmosphere.

"Did brother-in-law only visit the grave of brother-in-law's late mother?"

"I only visited Queen Julian's grave... to remember her past." The masked man told.

"Regarding sister-in-law Clara, can make up? I can't see Clara's sister-in-law sad and down for too long, especially..." Tiara asked him to make Clara feel better.

“Tonight is the engagement day between noble Leon and demon king Lina.”

"Thank you for reminding me, Tiara." The person was very grateful, because he had been informed.

"You don't need to be so formal, brother-in-law, then I'll excuse myself." Tiara walked away from the cemetery and the person.

On the appointed evening, everyone prepared themselves to head to the Glen noble residence.

No matter which group they belonged to, Glen nobles did not view people based on their status.

“Everyone, the horse-drawn carriage that picked us up has arrived. Let's go." Sara informed.

Zein, Mansa, Nita, and the others were ready and went straight to the horse-drawn carriage.

“Erick!? Are you our horse driver?" Cini was surprised to see Erick, who was guiding their horse-drawn carriage.

“Hmm…? Whose carriage is that?” Rii saw another horse-drawn carriage coming to their house.

“…..” The horse carriage stopped and the door opened.

"Tiara?" Zein was surprised by Tiara who came out of there.

"Miss Lina invited us, so my family and I came to pick you up," Tiara told him the reason. Tiara was surprised to see that Vail was no longer wearing a mask.

"Then, Zein. You'd better join Tiara," Vail asked Zein to come along and get into Tiara's horse-drawn carriage.

"I understand." Zein accepted it and immediately went with Tiara.

“Everyone, we better get in quickly or the important event will be missed,” Erick asked his friends to hurry in.

“There's not enough for one more person…” Sara announced that there weren't enough seats in the horse-drawn carriage.

“Vail it would be best for you to be with Erick,” Cini said.

"Are you kidding me," Vail rejected Cini's words.

“You guys can walk first,” Vail informed.

"Okay, I understand." Erick spurred the horse to pull the carriage.

Vail walked and asked where the nobleman's residence was, because he didn't know where the nobleman's residence was.

Luckily, in the middle of the road, he met King Ligt's horse-drawn carriage.

“Thank you for letting me ride, King Ligt.” Vail felt helped.

“No need for thanks, it is only natural that I offer.” King Ligt objected to Vail's gratitude.

“Sorry to make you a scapegoat for Prince Gerna, Mister Vail.”

“There's no need to think about it King Ligt, the deal has been made…as long as you keep your promise to us, it's fine.” Vail brought up a promise he had made long ago.

"Of course, I will try to make the world respect each other, and gather witches for you to return home after the war ends." King Ligt remembers his promise.

When he arrived at the residence of the noble Glen. Vail saw so many people coming, and his head slowly felt dizzy and nauseous.

“Vail?”

"....." They saw Vail who suddenly became unconscious.

“King Ligt, quickly take the prince to the room to rest,” Glen asked his friend to take Vail, and bring to the residence room.

Everyone was shocked by the prince's fainting.

Clara and the others saw King Ligt carrying the unconscious Vail towards the top floor.

“How is the prince, king?”

“He's not conscious yet. Sorry Runia, it just ruined your child's event." The king felt guilty.

"What's wrong Runia?" Glen was surprised to see that his wife seemed to see something.

“Runia?” Glen was confused by his wife who suddenly ran as if she wanted to chase something.

"How could that be? He disappeared so quickly.” Runia, who was already on the balcony no longer saw the person before.

“Why are you acting strange, Runia?” Glen and King approached.

“What are you looking at, Runia?” King Ligt was also very curious and surprised.

“I saw the prince right on this balcony,” Runia said while still looking around.

"Prince? But he's resting in the room with his two friends, there's no way he—”

“That's why I ran, to be sure. But he's gone…” Runia interrupted her husband's words. And told him what she saw.

On the other hand, Erick saw Clara coming down the stairs in a hurry and crying.

"Erick, where are you going?" Mansa was surprised that Erick put down his drink and seemed to be chasing something.

Erick chased Clara, who was crying and grabbed one of Clara's hands. He tried his best to entertain.

"Are you feeling better?" Erick felt worried about Clara.

"Thank you, Mr. Erick, I'm better," Clara told him.

"..." Erick knew that Clara had not completely improved, he decided that this was the right time and to cheer her up.

"Miss Clara, would you like to build a family together? I know, it may not be the right time." Erick said what he wanted.

"Mr. Erick, I..."

"There's no need to answer, Miss Clara, I can do it elsewhere—"

"I'll answer now." Clara interrupted Erick's words.

"I accept— " Her words stopped because Clara saw someone wearing a mask.
