Volume 2. Chapter 4 Keep The Promise

On the other hand, Erick was very happy because Clara had answered his feelings even though she had stopped.

Mansa saw Erick come back holding Clara's hand so intensely.

"What happened?" Nita was so curious. Seeing Erick holding Clara's hand.

"Since when did Clara wear a ring?" Sara was surprised.

"Erick, don't tell me you..." Mansa concluded that Erick might have proposed to her.

"I have proposed to Clara, now we are officially engaged," Erick said.

"Is it true?" Lina came to them.

“Is that true, Clara?”

"We have--"

“…..” Lina slapped Clara's face, holding back her tears. And hugged Clara and cried.

“You idiot, why are you even doing this?” Lina rebuked her.

"Don't you love him? Why you even…”

“Miss Lina, you love him too, right? But instead of choosing someone else, you and I are doing the same thing.”

"Sister, teacher..." Zein saw the two of them crying and hugging each other.

Seven years later, Clara, Lina, and Tiara were married and the third marriage was held simultaneously as if it were a mass wedding.

“Rii, my son…what path will you take now?” King Ligt wanted to confirm their destination of travel.

“We might wander into some of the existing kingdoms,” Rii told his father adopt.

"I understand, I hope you all are always healthy." King Ligt prays for his foster child health.

"Hey…!"

Rii, Vail, Cini, and Mansa turned to the source of the sound.

Zein and the others came to them. To say goodbye.

"Are you all going home?" Zein wanted to make sure.

"Of course, we will come back here, besides...we and Mr Hero just want to see the outside world," Rii informed.

"Clara..." Vail walked over to Clara.

“Clara, I'm sorry for the problems that occurred. I heard it's your birthday, so take this as a greeting from me.” Vail showed Clara an earring.

“Let bygones be bygones, there is no need to apologize. But I ask you not to lie anymore, is that possible?" Clara made a promise.

“I promise, I won't lie to you,” Vail made and agreed to the promise.

"Hmm...I hope you will always remember us, and I hope you will pair them up." Clara asked Vail to wear the earrings as a keepsake.

“Vail, it's time for us to go,” Mansa says.

"Then, we'll go first..." Cini walked out of the city entrance. Followed by Mansa and Rii.

“All of you, I hope you are well. Wait for our next arrival, then I will also go—”

Clara held Vail back, she didn't want Vail to disappear again like seventeen years ago.

Clara cried, because she found her three older siblings gone again leaving her and Zein in the kingdom.

Finished calming Clara. They were surprised by Vail who took out a mask.

“Hey, isn't that…” Leon was surprised by the mask Vail wore before leaving.

“Is it possible that, in this world, there are two Vails?” Glen said in complete surprise.

"But Vail said that he got the mask from Nia Aghture on his birthday." King Ligt again reminded Vail's words before leaving.

"Clara..." Erick saw his wife crying.

“I betrayed my brother, I don't have the strength to apologize. Before they leave, I want to stop them from disappearing like before.” Clara uttered all her words.

Lina and Zein also cried, feeling that they had been abandoned by Rii, Cini, Vail, and Mansa.

"The old group is back, shall we immediately beat up the ancestors?" Mansa said with enthusiasm and joy.

"You think fighting the ancestors is easy," Vail complained.

"It's not that I refuse, but I still love my life," Cini said.

"Are you crazy or want to kill us?" Rii complains about Mansa's words.

“That's true, even though the four of us were summoned. It's not necessarily possible to defeat the ancestors easily and quickly." Mansa thinks logically.

"Then how about going back to the city of Tars?" Rii advises the others.

“Tars City, what for ?” Cini is curious about Rii's goals.

"Do you still remember the merchant who once helped us?" Rii tries to remind Cini and Vail.

“That's it, it seems you're right. It's time to keep my promise to him.” Vail remembers the promise he once made.

"If I'm not mistaken, the merchant's name is Grit," Cini said what his remembered.

“Right, as well as to someone who told me nineteen years ago,” Rii told him again.

"Can you invite me to talk?" Mansa doesn't know and feels alienated.

"Don't worry, we haven't forgotten you," Cini said.

They headed to the city of Norf and Mansa was asked to ask about a merchant named Grit at the city's trade guild.

"You guys are taking advantage of me." Mansa came out of the trading guild with the paper in his hand.

“Friends should help each other,” Cini tells him.

“I don't see any friends here…” Mansa said in an irritated voice.

"Have you got it?" Vail was curious about the results.

“Haa…you, she only gave me this.” Mansa showed a paper to the three of them.

“Then, the merchant you are looking for. It's gone, the business is continued by his son." Mansa told what he heard from the trade guild receptionist.

“Do you know the place? The writing on this paper is unreadable.” Cini said that he was illiterate in this world and so were Rii and Vail.

"Seriously, then how can you be an adventurer if you are illiterate?"

“Of course, using insiders…” Cini said confidently.

"Isn't it..." Elia was surprised to see Rii, Cini, Vail, and Mansa laughing.

Elia wanted to say hello but he was afraid he would ruin the moment like before, but he was surprised because they turned to her even from a distance and bowed without apologizing.

They immediately teleported to the city of Tars.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

“Come in.”

“…..” Mansa opened the door and entered.

"Sorry to disturb you, Mr. Hors,"

"Hero, come in, don't hesitate." Hors hosted Mansa so well.

Three hours later, Mansa returned and came to Rii, Cini, and Vail.

"Have you got the information?" Cini complained, because he had to wait more than two hours.

"I suspect you slept there," Cini complained.

"You think finding a name in a pile of soldiers' work is easy?" Mansa tells.

"Did you know?" Rii wanted to hear the results.

"It's a pity, I didn't find it," Mansa said that he had not found anyone with the characteristics that Rii said.

"That means the only way is to search," Vail informed.

They looked for the person Rii meant, until late evening. They arrived at a small village outside the city of Tars.

“This is the only door that hasn't been knocked on,” Rii informed.

"I'll knock."

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Who?" said in a coughing voice.

“We came to ask something,” Rii answered the person's words.

“…..” the person opened the door to his house.

The owner of the house came out with an old and sick body.

"Ask something?" If the person is curious, they shouldn't approach someone who is seriously ill.

"Did you come because you were disturbed by the sound of my coughing?"

"No, we came to ask questions," Vail informed.

"Finally found it." Rii managed to meet someone he met in the city of Tars, while disguised as a child.

"Are you sure, Rii?" Cini wants to be sure.

"Excuse me, have you ever met a child who was looking for a hero in the city of Tars?" Rii said what him remembered.

"I don't know for sure, only that I once met a child like you said." The person answered with a cough.

"What is going on ?" The person asked again.

"That little child is me, we came here to fulfill our promise. Because you told us.” Rii reminded him of what he had said before, namely a promise.

"You're already big, I'm sorry, you must be looking here and there to keep your promise. Even though you can ignore it." The person felt so happy.

"Can we come in?"

The person invited Rii and the others to enter his house. How shocked they were to find a house that was so unfit to live in.

Rii and Cini teleported to the Gerna kingdom to buy food supplies.

Vail and Mansa tidied up the elderly man's house and waited for the others to return with groceries.

“We're back…”

“You guys leave me speechless, what do you ask of a man who does nothing?” The person was very uncomfortable.

"We didn't ask for anything, we came only to repay and fulfill our promise." Rii reminded him again.

“I understand, but I haven't asked or charged for that. You've done all this."

“Sir, you can eat this fruit until the food is ready.” Rii gave him an apple that had been cut into small pieces so that the person could eat it.

"Then can we stay overnight and live here for a while?"

“Are you okay with living with someone who is sick?” The person was surprised by Rii's request.

“No one has any objections, we are all in good health,” Rii informed.

The person allows them to stay. Then he introduced himself to Rii, and Rii also introduced himself and his friend. Of course, that person was surprised if hero was with them.

In the morning.

"I do agree, but why do you end up hoeing the ground?" Cini was so tired.

"Don't complain, it's best to just do it." Vail rules Cini.

"What happened--"

"Uncle Nhiel, good morning." Vail welcomed the person.

"What are you doing?" Nhiel was so worried and worried about the problems that would befall them in the future.

“We are creating a farm,” Rii informed.

“It's useless, this land belongs to the nobility. He will take the results…”

"Don't need to worry about that, because we have bought land for this village," Vail informed.

“Buying this village land?!” Nhiel was so surprised.

“We bought this, with someone's help.” Vail brought out the title deed and showed it to Nhiel.

"This is...!" Nhiel was surprised to see that there was a sign or stamp from the Gerna kingdom.
