Volume 3. Chapter 9 They're Monsters

In the cafeteria, Paul, Nuvie, and Kila were surprised by Asino's attitude, which was so different from usual. 

While eating, Kila informed about the four new students were ordering food. 

This made Asino immediately leave the dining table and just walk away. 

“Asino?” 

"I've only just been told, but my actions always change when I see them." 

“I will chase her.”

Kila got up from her seat and ran after Asino. 

“The appearance of this new child makes Asino not the person we know. Paul, if I'm not mistaken. In the last period we had a combined lesson with Asino and Kila's class, right?” Nuvie wants to plan something. 

“I understand what you mean, I also don't want to see Asino, who is cheerful and understanding of the three of us, become like that. We are her friends, it is natural to help Asino.” Paul knew what Nuvie meant. 

Jump at the last time. The person who teaches combined lessons is Laefrot. 

“Others may already know, but the teacher will tell you again…” Teacher Laefrot wanted to make his assignment clear. 

"The lessons given are only limited to hunting to make you get used to it and not be afraid if you fight monsters in the forest or something else."

All the students immediately ran into the forest behind the academy. All students who have formed groups compete to win the championship. 

When they were far enough away, Cini asked his group containing Tia, Tasya, Sofy, Maya Vail, and Rii to gather. 

“Is strategy required?” Sofy was very curious, because this was a first for her, Tia, and Tasya. 

“Listen carefully, and don't surprise anyone okay?” Cini told and asked Tia, Maya, Sofy, and Tasya to be quiet. 

"We're being followed—" 

“Eh!?” Tasya was so shocked. 

"I told you not to be surprised." Cini rebuked. 

“But who follows? Do they want to target the animals we are going to target too?” Sofy was so curious, speaks in a quiet voice.

Cini gave a strategy that he didn't know what was talking about, Cini asked the women to follow and hide later.

Paul and Nuvie who were watching them from behind a tree, waited until they were completely far from the academy area. 

“They are so calm, like water.” Paul couldn't wait to hurt them all. 

"Paul..." Nuvie called her brother and told him that Tia and the others had returned. 

Vail and his group lured the people following them into an open area. When they pretended to turn around, they were confronted by Paul and Nuvie. 

"As planned, they will appear," Rii informed. 

"Haha...aren't you guys wrongly thinking that you will get a good path?" Nuvie mocked them. 

"Especially for the three of you," Nuvie pointed to the three men in front of her eyes. 

“I feel like you guys are quite tough, fight me if you can.” Nuvie took out a sword from his hand.

"That sword is similar to the one I gave to Zein and passed on to Ledrik." Rii was a little surprised to see Nuvie appear as a sword from the void. 

“….” Nuvie smiled. 

“What you see is the sword left by the hero Ledrik, we took it. Not only that, what Paul is holding is also the legacy of the hero Mansa.” Nuvie informed. 

“Then show your true appearance. There is no need to hide because it is useless.” Rii was so annoyed to hear Nuvie's words. 

“It's so interesting, knowing we're undercover is such a great thing.” Paul was so happy. 

“….” Not long after, Kila and Asino came from behind Vail and the others. 

"Can you guys get away from here?" Vail asked Tasya, Sofy, Maya, and Tia to stay away and seek protection. 

Maya obeyed Vail's words and invited the others to take cover behind a tree not far from them. 

“Barrier? Especially without chanting?” Tasya was so surprised by what they found. 

"Who— " Tasya's words stopped, she saw a flash that often appeared in her dreams. 

“Is that some kind of vision?” Sofy was so confused that she held her head feeling a little dizzy. 

When Paul, Kila, and Asino brought out the weapons they had. That surprised Rii, Cini, and Vail. Not only did they steal Ledrik and Mansa's weapons, but Lumine's too.

“Can you return our family's heirlooms? And the power you have seized.” Vail held back his anger. 

“Don't admit it, our master gave this to us. If you want it, then grab it.” Paul taunts and laughs at Vail. 

"Then we will take it by force." 

“….” Maya and the others looked at Vail, Rii, and Cini who seemed to have reached their limit of patience. 

“Did I hear wrong?” Paul mocked Rii's words. 

“Asino!?” Kila was shocked to see her friend fall to the ground. 

“Aaah!” Asino screamed and held his head, feeling something that he felt was very painful. And saw a faint glimpse of a city being destroyed by three figures. 

“Get away! Why do you keep bothering me? Why are you cursing me by showing me something I don't want to see!” 

"That damn family always comes to me in my dreams..." 

“I should have killed you guys.” 

"I remember again, you were the one who killed the child of Ledrik's descendants." Rii was so angry. 

Realizing Rii was walking closer, Kila immediately blocked him. However, there was no time to fight back. Kila was lifted and slammed into the ground so hard. 

"Damn you..." Kila was bleeding from her mouth, her left leg was immediately broken. 

“….” Rii kicked Asino's face quite hard. And made Asino very painful. 

“Damn you, how dare—” 

“Hmm…so what?” Rii grabbed Asino by the neck and lifted her.

"Is this the only power of the person, who killed and caused terror throughout the kingdom?" Rii scoffed directly. 

"God damn it-" 

“Your opponent is me.” 

“…” Paul saw a hand penetrate his chest and take his heart. 

“Perhaps I understand now… the reason we came, was nothing but to kill and take your lives.” Vail walked towards Nuvie. 

“I am the person summoned to this world, the hero recognized by the demon king Badou!” Nuvie screams and challenges Vail. 

“Ahaha! If you are a hero, then fight me.” Vail accepted the challenge. 

Tia and the others saw Vail pointing his hand at Nuvie, and it made them very scared. 

Nuvie was like someone who was being squeezed by very strong gravity, all him skin and clothes were so compressed that she shrunk. 

"I will take our power." Vail pulled Nuvie's hands so roughly that they broke from their joints. 

“….” Asino, who was still being strangled, saw the figure of a woman behind Maya. 

Maya thought that if Asino asked her for help, she would ask Rii to let her go. 

“No way, she was the one who killed your relatives two hundred years ago,” Rii told Maya. 

Cini saw Paul come back to life even without a heart. 

“You have awakened my true power, then—” 

"Interesting. If you had this kind of power, Neii would probably be happy to make you an experiment or we could take you to Alpha.” Cini was so happy and covered Paul's mouth. 

“Tell me, what is your purpose in coming to Startlight Academy? If you answer, we will heal you.” Rii makes an offer. 

“….” None of them answered. 

"We'll assume you didn't answer." 

Vail, Cini, and Rii immediately took them to the Ruga forest. 

Maya and the others were just left in the forest. 

Nuvie and Paul were surprised and felt that it was dangerous to hear. 

Not long after, they heard the sound of a wolf roaring. 

“I heard you guys from Etina, and it was unexpected. You have come with the direct followers of the demon king." 

“….” Nuvie felt danger from behind the tree. 

The ground seemed to shake, giant footsteps began to be heard. 

“You guys are quite bold, to have tarnished the legacy of the heroes. And now that you are before me, only death will be your salvation.” 

“We'll be back, I'll leave the rest to you. Alpha…” 

Vail, Cini, and Rii immediately disappeared and returned to their previous place. 

After being there, Maya and the others were very afraid of Rii, Cini, and Vail. 

“Quickly remove the barrier, so we can leave!” Sofy said in a frightened voice. 

“….” Vail, Rii, and Cini could only remain silent. 

Just when the barrier had been removed, Tasya took Maya away. 

Towards the afternoon, someone knocked on the room where Lina was. 

“Take them out?” Lina was very surprised by Tasya's request to expel Rii, Cini, and Vail from the academy. 

“Academy head, the three of them did such an inhumane thing. Asino and Kila had been hurt, and they took Asino and Kila away.” Tia informed. 

“They are monsters…” 

“….” Lina took a breath and tried to calm down. 

"Miss Sofy, your words could cause bad rumors." Lina rebuked. 

“I understand what you mean, have you experienced something bad or worse like destroying the kingdom?” Lina wanted to be sure.

“Destroying the kingdom?” Tasya was surprised, she didn't know if there was a connection. 

“Demon lord Lina, please take them out,” Tia asks the head of the academy to expel Rii, Cini, and Vail. 

“If I did that, it would be the same as throwing them away. If they weren't there, the atmosphere would be like this…” 

As they were talking, a magic circle appeared in the sky right at the academy. 

“Academy head look.” Tia saw a huge magic circle in the sky. And asked the demon king Lina to look out the window. 

“….” Everyone stopped what they were doing, and looked at the huge circle in the sky in confusion. 

"What happened?" Sonita saw the circle from behind the restaurant window. 

The circle makes a sound like a watch and rotates slowly and very slowly. 

“My lord, everything has gone according to plan. Activation can be done whenever you want.” Said Laefrot who knelt to a crystal stone. 

“Good…let everyone take a look and see what awaits them.” The demon king Badou was very happy to hear that, about the world that would soon be his for the second time.
