Volume 4. Chapter 4 Tradition Of Exchange

The three of them took a moment to think.

“This is a great opportunity,” Cini summed up what he had heard.

"Then, do you want to listen to what I say again?" Lina has an offer.

“What are you going to trouble us with this time?” Rii complained at Lina's words.

“Thanks to our victory in the tournament, Principal of academy Waerlosh. Contacting me via the communication crystal, he wanted to exchange students and teachers." Lina informed.

"Again, a troublesome problem, since the battle in the empire I felt disaster in it," Vail told his complaint.

"Even though I tried to get you to meet Noa from Waerlosh Academy," Lina said in a sad voice.

"Ha...it can't be helped if you are called, we will accept it." Rii was forced to accept Lina's offer.

“Good, in one month the exchange will take place. I've decided to send all class F students to be exchange students—"

“Wait Lina, in the same class? What is not wrong." Rii interrupted Lina's words, he was surprised to hear that one class was an exchange student.

"That's the tradition in this world, perhaps," Lina informed.

“Can we hit you?” Cini felt irritated by Lina's words.

“I'm just kidding, how many people can exchange classes in this world? As long as both parties mutually agree, there is nothing to worry about." Lina informed.

“Waerlosh Academy, sending their lowest class. I would also do the same thing, but in the lowest class, we have Sofy and Tasya who won the tournament. I was annoyed after realizing it.” Lina informed.

“Therefore, as long as you are there. Don't teach seriously."

The three of them listened to the troublesome demon king's cunning request.

One month later, Lina sent class F and three teachers to Waerlosh Academy as an exchange. They left using the displacement magic that Lina made.

“As head of the Waerlosh Academy, I feel very happy."

"The head of Startlight Academy was so quick to send them in person, it was a bit embarrassing for us who sent them by horse-drawn carriage.” Said the old man, feeling uneasy.

“There's no need for the academy head to think about it, teacher Vina has already taken this into account. In another day or two, I'm sure they'll arrive at Startlight Academy.” Rii informed.

“Gentlemen let's talk about this. Waerlosh Academy is an academy specifically for nobles. But not all nobles can be at Waerlosh Academy, because we select and look at the family history of our prospective students." The old man explained.

"Because--"

“Sorry to interrupt the conversation, aren't you Startlight? It's an academy that is open to all groups, why would an academy specifically for nobles exchange for an academy that accepts all groups?" Cini expressed his curiosity.

“Just before I said, we only accept prospective students who have a good reputation. Or someone who doesn't have a bad reputation, even if that person doesn't have achievements, so we don't make exchanges without reason." The old man said.

"Grandfather from my wife was the best graduate of Startlight Academy, I wouldn't say all great people are born after graduating from Startlight."

“We understand the concept of such thinking, academy head. And will not be offended.” Vail didn't mind academy head Waerlosh's words.

“In short, he was the one who built the Waerlosh academy. To be a Startlight, but specifically for nobles. Because this kingdom prefers to use magic for nobles, it is called Waerlosh." The old man said again.

"Okay, we understand, academy head," Rii understood the meaning of the academy head's words.

The head of the Waerlosh Academy again, told the three of them that the academy did not provide dormitories.

After the three of them finished teaching the class, they immediately rushed to look for accommodation to rent while at Waerlosh Academy.

In the evening.

"How are your studies going?"

“Teacher.” Sofy and the others saw Rii, Cini, and Vail in front of the academy gate.

“Are you guys comfortable?” Rii wanted to make sure.

“The lessons aren't bad, but most of the time every teacher that changes always teaches magic and alchemy,” Tia tells what they learned.

“Then let's go home. We've found a dorm for you to stay in while you're at the academy," Cini told them.

The three teachers took them all to the inn, that the three teachers rented from a stingy nobleman.

“….” Teresa who came out of the Akami hallway, saw one of the three teachers from Startlight.

“What's wrong, Teresa? You daydream about seeing them all." Noa was so surprised by his friends, who saw the students and exchange students.

“No, there's no problem whatsoever. I was just thinking whether we would be their friends or not.” Teresa is hiding something.

"Where are Yua and Rini?" Teresa didn't see her two other friends coming with Noa.

"The two of them came out first, they said there were new cakes for sale," Noa said.

"They never change," Teresa said in a weary tone.

“No, I think it's you who changed. Usually, you are also interested in the cake that Yua always talks about.” Noa told.

"Then, see you...Teresa." Noa walked back to his house.

“….” Teresa saw Noa leaving her.

"It turns out I'm the one who changed." Teresa just realized the change in herself.

Teresa walked towards her residence, on the way she met teachers Vail and Tasya, Tia, Hana, Maya, and Sofy.

The atmosphere was a little awkward.

"If I'm not mistaken, you are Teresa, right?" Vail tries to remember the students he taught.

“That's right Vail teacher. Where do you want to go?” Teresa started a light, general conversation to get along better.

“We want to find that famous cake shop,” Vail explained the reason he and his five students were leaving.

“A famous cake shop? As far as I know, there is no... wait, is it possible that the shop you are referring to is owned by the prince?" Teresa tried to confirm.

“Prince's shop? Does this kingdom still have royal members?" Hana was very curious about Teresa's words.

“Sorry about that, I mean. One year ago, we had a meal together with the prince and the head of Startlight Academy. The demon king Lina calls the restaurant owner a prince, because of his uncaring nature and attitude and sometimes cold words." Teresa told what the demon king Lina said at that time.

“So that mysterious master owns it.” Maya immediately realized who Teresa was talking about.

"If you don't mind, would you like to take us there?" Hana asked Teresa to help guide them.

"Can I say--"

“Teresa!”

“….” Teresa looked back, and she saw Yua and Rini carrying the ordered cake city.

“What a coincidence, Rini, Yua. Is the store still busy?” Teresa wanted to be sure.

"It's still very long, especially since Yua and I almost fought over the queue," Rini said.

"If I had been first, I would have gotten the newest cake." Yua groaned and complained.

"Are you guys going there?" Rini confirmed them.

"We want to buy some cakes there," Sofy told them their destination.

"It's best not to go there again, the people who go there have already ordered cakes long ago. I heard that two noble hotel workers ordered a lot of these cakes, and they were brought this afternoon." Yua told.

“Vail...!” Cini shouted for his friend.

Cini asked everyone to come back, without being told why.

They all returned to the inn, Yua, Rini, and Teresa who were in line joined them and talked to each other.

“Hmm…?” Hana was so surprised by Teresa who stole a few glances.

“Do you like our teacher?” Hana said what she wanted to say.

“No, I don't have anything like that,” Teresa informed.

"I'm curious about that too Teresa, you always pay attention to that teacher." Rini also wanted to know.

"That's because, in a dream, I met a mysterious masked person," Teresa informed.

"What's the connection? Maybe you're just looking for an excuse." Rini started teasing her friend.

“It's true, the prince is such a mysterious person. Even when we were eating with the prince, we didn't even tell him his name." Yua tells, and accidentally saves Teresa.

“This is strange but, one month ago. The demon king Lina wanted to meet this person but never met him. Even now." Maya told her friends.

In the middle of the road, Yua and Rini separated from them because they were both on different blocks of the main road. With all of them.

When they arrived in front of the inn, Vail offered Teresa to accompany him home. But Teresa politely refused.

The next day, right at rest time. The head of the academy summoned the three teachers from Startlight for an opinion.

“To be honest, the class that entered seemed like they didn't know some of the material. They only know modern magic.” Vail told him his opinion.

“That makes it difficult for us to interact, even though the three of us can teach them modern magic,” Cini announces his availability to teach modern magic.

“However, the distinctive features of Startlight teaching will be removed. Because Startlight still provides lessons about ancient magic and ancient symbols." Rii told him where the problem was.

“Haha…I'm impressed with the way you look at it, and it's true. All the students in this academy only know modern magic, and that could make Waerlosh Academy suffer a setback.” The academy head informed.

“If you don't mind providing basic lessons on ancient magic and advanced material on modern magic, I'll pay you double.” The head of the academy made an offer.

“There is no need for an academy head, as long as you support our learning actions. We will do it with pleasure.” Cini refused the offer made and only asked for support.

“Okay, thank you gentlemen. Please enjoy your rest time." The academy head accepted Cini's words.

The three of them exited the academy principal's office and walked towards the cafeteria. When passing by the classroom, the three of them saw all the students of Startlight Academy who were silent and did not come out.

"What are you doing? "The rest hours here are limited, unlike Startlight."

“Maya?” Vail saw Maya crying.

“….” They saw teacher Rii, teacher Cini, and teacher Vail enter their class.

“They all mocked us as poor students and couldn't afford food.” An told the problem.
