Volume 4. Chapter 3 A Sign Of Apology

Vail slowly closed his eyes, and his breathing stopped.

"Noa, find the person wearing the mask." Goddess Ries asks Noa to ask for help from the masked man whom the demon king Lina calls the prince.

“Masked man?”

“….” Noa and the goddess Ries were surprised by the voice of their enemy who was right behind them.

"If the person you mean is the same as the person who cursed me to become a Minotaur. That means I have to treat all of you with great affection.” The man smiled so evilly.

Noa and goddess Ries jumped forward to gain distance from the man behind them.

"Where --"

“Aaah!”

"Ha ha ha!"

“Teresa!” Noa saw Teresa who was being strangled and lifted.

“…If you get close, she will feel something that this woman should accept.” The man told Noa who wanted to save Teresa.

“Help... Noa. Goddess Ries.” Teresa asked for help in a very small voice.

“….” The man brought out a drill with the blade glowing red and held it with his left hand.

“Are you sure, you're going to shut up and watch? Don't call the person you mean." The man was playing with the goddesses Ries and Noa.

The man pressed the tip of the drill to Teresa's clothes.

"Hot!" Teresa screamed, her clothes burned and her skin blistered and turned red.

“Keep screaming, Queen! Let out all your screams and make him come!” The man was so happy about Teresa's fear.

"Let go of her..." Noa ran to save Teresa, but he didn't see the two of them.

“Teresa!” Noa saw Teresa and the man who strangled her friend in the sky.

"Even though I warned you, you are so stupid. This is the reward..." The man pressed the tip of the drill against Teresa's face.

Teresa screamed uncontrollably, agony and pain combined. Not long after, the man just threw Teresa away.

Goddess Ries ran to catch Teresa, but she was met with an attack.

“….” Teresa fell so hard.

Noa ran towards where Teresa was and felt no signs of life in Teresa.

"Your opponent is me..." The man stopped his words, he turned in one direction.

"I won't let you disturb me, my pleasure."

The man flew so fast towards Morgen and his subordinates.

“….” Teresa opened her eyes and woke up. Both hands checked the body, which he remembered was injured.

“Where am I?” Teresa only saw an ancient kingdom that had become part of the ruins.

“…..” Teresa looked back, because she heard the sound of water being poured into a cup.

"You..." Teresa saw the person she had seen before, she got up and approached the person.

"Are you the prince at that time?" Teresa wanted to be sure.

“Am I dead…my friends, what about them!?” Teresa is worried about Noa and Goddess Ries.

“….” The masked man did not answer and asked Teresa to sit down.

Teresa sat in the place that had been prepared and was served tea which was very cold and refreshing.

"This is the second time we have met,"

“Is it you, prince? Are we dead?” Teresa wanted to be sure.

“….” Teresa is sad about what happened to her and her friends.

"…You." Teresa was surprised by the fact that looked very much like a Startlight teacher.

“Ancient primordial god?” Teresa was so confused.

“…..” Teresa looked at her two friends who were still alive.

“Eh…! Why are you even crying? Teresa.” Rini was surprised by Teresa who suddenly cried and hugged herself and Yua.

"It's so tight..." Yua complained that Teresa's hug made her unable to breathe normally.

"What's wrong with you?" Rini was so surprised by Teresa's attitude.

Teresa didn't let go of her hug at all, but Yua continued to complain because the hug Teresa gave her was very suffocating.

Some people felt what Teresa experienced, even Goddess Ries who was in Noa's body also wondered.

One week later, the tournament entered the final round. Everyone enjoyed the fight as if they were watching two roosters fighting.

"I win!" Sofy cheered happily.

“….” All the Startlight students and teachers cheered with joy.

“Alright, the match is in the final round. With three remaining participants, including Sofy and Tasya from Startlight Academy. Then Noa from Waerlosh academy.” Said the presenter.

"If Noa from Waerlosh Academy can beat Tasya from Startlight Academy, then Sofy is the last hope of Startlight Academy."

Tasya walked into the match area, and so did Noa.

"Are you ready?" The match judge wants to make sure before starting the match.

“….” Tasya and Noa got into their stances.

“Get ready…START!”

The judge immediately jumped backward.

“Fire shot!” Tasya attacked first.

"O strong wall, protect it!" Noa cast the spell so quickly and managed to dodge the attack.

“Lightning Arrow!” Noa recites a modern magic spell. And several lightning arrows appeared which Noa immediately released to provide a counterattack.

“Ningkatna...!” Tasya reads ancient magic. Avoid every attack aimed at him.

The audience cheered so happily and lively.

Tasya and Noa attack each other, and they continue to prove who is the strongest between the two.

“Magic Burst!” Noa casts a modern spell, and it hits Tasya.

“…” Everyone in the audience became silent.

"May also." Tasya received the attack, because she had difficulty finding time to dodge.

"Looks like it's time to end " Noa fell and collapsed, due to spending too much mana and stamina.

Everyone saw Noa who fell to the ground helpless.

“….” The judge enters the competition area. And mocking Noa's condition.

“Participants have failed!” The judge informed that Noa was unconscious.

Realizing this, all the Startlight students and teachers were so happy, they came out as winners in the tournament.

“….” Tasya and all her friends celebrated. And receive awards for their victory in the tournament.

A few days later, they all returned to the Gerna kingdom. Vail, Rii, and Cini say something that shouldn't make sense.

“As far as I remember, my stomach was injured and it was used to mediate a summons. But, everything goes back to before anything happened." Cini told.

“We didn't see the match, and captured some of those sect groups you guys were fighting against,” Rii informed.

“Then where are the demon king Badou's subordinates?” Lina wanted to know and wanted to ask them.

“We've handed them all over to the imperial soldiers,” Vail informed.

“Thanks for the information, you three.” Lina was very happy to hear the information provided.

“Then Lina, have you found the person who called us back?” Rii asked about their agreement at the beginning.

"I've asked Etina, but she doesn't know either. Can you guys keep waiting?” Lina asked Rii, Cini, and Vail to wait for news about who called them.

“Okay, we will wait to hear from you.” Cini doesn't mind.

“Come in,” Lina asked someone who knew to come in.

“….” Vina opened the door and went inside, handing her a letter from Vina younger brother.

"My younger brother said the mysterious person left this letter to him. While he was still in the empire, he was asked to give this letter to the principal of Startlight Academy,” Vina informed and gave the letter to the demon lord Lina.

"Thank you, Miss Vina." Lina received the letter.

“Then academy head, I will go back.”

"Thank you again, Miss Vina."

Vina walked out the door, leaving the three teachers with the head of the academy.

“….” Lina opened the letter and read it.

Lina read so carefully, that she became serious in the middle of the letter.

“Lina?”

“We found it,” Lina informed.

“Found what?” Vail was surprised by what Lina said.

"I will read the contents of the letter from the beginning."

"Okay, we'll listen." Vail doesn't mind.

“Congratulations on your victory and also your success in capturing the ancestor's followers, instead. I will answer, who made you return to this world." Lina read the letter and Rii, Cini, and Vail heard it.

"Your summoner is the person with Noa, I wrote this letter without him or the person with him knowing."
